Since I became a customer in early 2021, my approach to buying wine has undergone a complete transformation. I used to purchase from supermarkets, believing their selections were adequate. I was completely mistaken; now, I exclusively buy from this service. They offer a wide variety of wines tailored to my preferences. I've developed some favorites that I enjoy regularly. Recently, I had a small issue that was resolved promptly and professionally by a representative, for which I am thankful! I’m ready to place another order today.

I’ve been charged nearly £100 for a subscription I never signed up for. They refer to it as an 'angel' subscription, but it feels entirely deceptive. Be cautious about accepting any free gifts, as that’s how they enroll you. Even when you think you’ve canceled, you really haven’t.
I sent five cases of wine as gifts to friends and family, marking them as such and including notes like 'Happy New Year, love.' One case to my father had his name outside but a card addressed to someone else inside. My brother received a box with no card or sender info, and he had to guess it was from me. Last year was similar; no one knew I was the sender, except they remembered I had sent wine previously. I suspect the same will happen with the other deliveries.
After a delivery mishap, this service exceeded my expectations to rectify the situation. The courier lost my case, but the company was proactive with updates, follow-ups, and compensation. Their communication was sincere, and they promptly sent out a replacement case that arrived within a few days. All the wine I've tried has been delightful and broadened my palate. It’s also wonderful to see the wineries supported through the program. Excellent selection and service!
Avoid this service at all costs; competitors provide a far superior experience. I ordered wine for Christmas and was assured by a representative that my order was guaranteed to arrive before the 25th. If it didn’t, I would receive a refund. On Christmas Eve, I received an email stating my order wouldn’t be delivered and they were only offering store credit instead of a refund. The wine didn’t arrive until the 29th, and now I’m stuck in a loop of them insisting store credit is equivalent to a refund, even though I have to spend more to use it. They eventually offered a refund if I return the wines, but I can't arrange that as I’m not at the delivery address. Terrible service and dishonest communication; I had no issues with other services in the past and regret trying this one.
Revision as of 03/01/26 after the company’s response: I’ve changed my rating from 1 star to 5 stars after receiving generous compensation without asking. My wine arrived on December 31st and was again of great quality. The delivery issue seems to have been with the local courier. Their compensation and thoughtful communication have convinced me to continue with this service. Thank you for resolving this; I look forward to enjoying more excellent wine. Original review: My holiday wine case didn't arrive, and I was initially told it would be delivered by the 20th, later changed to the 24th, and assured it would arrive as per the website. Two weeks later, I was informed the wine would be delivered on the 24th, but it was now the 30th! I was left waiting until January 5th to arrange a refund for my credit before considering canceling my membership. I was disappointed, as the wine had previously been excellent.
Avoid at all costs!Guaranteed delivery before Christmas didn’t arrive!Had an email late on Christmas Eve saying that the wine wouldn’t be delivered until after Christmas.Too late to purchase wine elsewhere.Told I would have a full refund but when asked for the money in my account to be credited back to my bank and my monthly subscription cancelled, I was informed that they couldn’t refund the credit as it was credited as a goodwill gesture!Absolute joke of a company! 3 weeks later and you still have my money!
An unbelievable inept and unacceptable service from a company I have supported for some 9 years. I have subscribed as an ‘angel’ during that time. I rely on them to deliver festive and other gifts of wines through the year, ordered in adequate time according to their website a festive case of wine to a colleague with the assurance of a ‘before Christmas’ delivery date. I received a text and email late on Christmas Eve after having confirmed by telephone that the delivery ‘was guaranteed’ on the 24th, that inexplicably it was ‘cancelled’ despite having been prepaid and without adequate explanation, notice or remediation. I later received a ‘full refund’ and an ‘apology’ which failed pathetically to rectify the ineptitude of a previously entirely trustworthy organisation. Subsequently the excuses including ‘lack of stocking’, ‘ oversubscription’ and ‘warehouse discrepancy’ were offered and rejected. A previously entirely and completely reliable company has shown its incompetence. It’s time for its loyal ‘angels’ to look elsewhere to ensure remote and competent deliveries, on time, accurately and reliably.
