Review Time
2nd time I had to write this review? I see Naked wines has put there hands in my account again, this time I will be contacting the credit card issuer I see this as fraudulent and scamming behaviour and disrespectful, I have emailed them several times yet they still put there hands in my account???
I got this spam when I bought something from Mobileciti. I'm also none too happy with them either. I'm years sober, and don't drink, but what about alcoholics? Just having this stuff pop up in their inbox without any permission whatsoever. I never, ever signed up for or even hinted I would be interested in this.
The advertising is also misleading. Because you get $100 off the wine without getting a spam email coupon anyway just going to the base website. So the email is just fluff. The way they rope you in it seems is sneakily signing you up to a subscription where they withdraw $40 a month into 'wine credit' that you can't easily cancel or get back. It seems 90% of people don't notice that with a purchase they are also signing up for recurring billing.
I am so sick of these deceptive practices in the market. This is too many strikes. Emails I never asked for and deceptive and misleading marketing.
Very disappointed, in Mobileciti too.
A deduction of $40 was made from my bank account without my permission. I called to express my concern and was informed that the refund would take 3 to 5 days. This is unacceptable. They are holding my money for 5 days, and I'm not earning any interest during that time. I would advise anyone thinking about purchasing wines online to reconsider. You might end up being taken advantage of completely. Consider yourself warned. The decision is yours.
I don't want charges to keep coming from my account, especially since I don't consume wine. I received a gift for a special occasion, and now they are attempting to continue taking my money. I tried to cancel, but the process seems to just allow them to retain my funds instead of issuing a refund. I paused the service, yet after three weeks, they have resumed the charges. This is unacceptable. I am requesting a refund.
I placed my Christmas order on December 14 for three boxes of wine, expected to arrive on December 19. Two boxes showed up early on the 17th, but the third was returned, raising immediate concern — especially since the same issue occurred last year before my husband's milestone birthday. To make matters worse, I received an email today stating the third box had been delivered, but it definitely had not. I stayed home all day waiting for it. I contacted the customer service team and spoke with a representative who was incredibly understanding and professional. I can't fault him at all. However, this is now the second time this has happened before a significant event, and it's evident that logistics is not the company's strong suit. For a subscription service, reliability is crucial, and sadly, this experience has made me seriously consider canceling my membership.
The automatic monthly subscription is quite disappointing. The wines taste poor and do not justify the advertised prices, which seem inflated since they are not available elsewhere. Additionally, the subscription registration process is unclear; I checked several times but couldn't find any confirmation of my sign-up. It appears the program operates as a separate account with a difficult-to-locate access point.
The monthly subscription program is poorly designed. The wines taste terrible and are not worth the prices advertised (the retail price seems misleading as those wines aren't available elsewhere). They enroll you in the angel program without clear communication on whether you've signed up. I checked my subscriptions multiple times and found nothing. It turns out the angel program is a separate account with a hard-to-find access point.
I tried using the website after receiving four $100 gift vouchers. Unfortunately, I cannot apply the vouchers to the same order, and navigating through the cart to make updates is a challenge. If I can't place an order, I won't be purchasing their wine.
