(June 2021) CAVEAT EMPTOR. I have been a Neomailbox customer, and fan, since 2011, and have, until now, been satisfied with them. I dealt with customer service on several occasions and found them to be reasonably prompt. However, I am ending my Neomailbox subscription. Unless you like high frustration levels and love wasting money, don't just walk away from these neomailbox yahoos, their time in the sun is over---run as fast as you can.I used Neomailbox from 2011 through 2020 as my primary work-related account, with a Hotmail account as a secondary back-up. In January, 2021, I was bumping up against the limit of my Neomailbox standard ($USD 60 or so) 1 GB usage, so I increased it on-line by a further 1 GB at USD $12 or so. Paid by visa, after a week the additional 1 GB was still not added , I was not receiving new mail and had to purge emails by forwarding to my Hotmail account to free up space. I sent three notifications to Neomailbox customer support complaining over a week; although I was given a “ticket number” I never once received a dedicated human reply. On checking my control panel on the 10th day, I found that my storage was indicated to have increased to 2048 (2 GB) and I was satisfied that the issue was resolved. However, several days later, (two weeks after payment!) I could not save drafts, there was no sent mail saving, and I then found that emails were not delivered to me. And once new emails get turned back, they got lost in the ether. Again, this was 14 days after payment withdrawn from my Visa account. So obviously I was only still allocated the original 1 GB and they *&(% lied about it the additional 1 GB storage. I had to purge emails again to free up storage to allow me to receive again. Ticket number it is Ticket ID: UCS-360348 for what it is worth. Total waste of time getting a human response and I urgently needed the space as I was involved in a court case with pretty heavy documentation that I required to receive. Frustration level over the top, especially as i had planned for the extra storage and was denied it, and I missed important emails that I never knew about.Some wars we can win, some are not winnable, so I transferred over time all my data to another Swiss account..won't say the name as don't want to be accused of being a shill. And just as I write this—the reason I am writing this---I lost all my contacts. Completely gone.Neomailbox is just a joke now.Bill in Canada
I had a Neomailbox email account for years until it suddenly stopped working and they stopped responding to emails. The email service was marketed as totally masking IP addresses but this turned out to be FANCIFUL as a simple look at email headers showed that the local IP was published - I had placed quite a lot of confidence in the service only to find it was (ostensibly, in my opinion) an utter scam! They took days to respond to emails and there was no telephone support - it was very very disappointing, not to mention dangerous if you had been relying on them to provide the service they had advertised. Scamming BOTTOMFEEDERS.
Don't use them!They haven't acknowledged my renewal payment.Slow downloading of attachments.Slow response. I have experienced problems receiving verification emails from a broker, followed by timeouts because the emails arrive too late.Slow or perhaps non-existent customer support. No human has responded to multiple support issues. Only an automated email that gives a ticket number, without follow-up by a human.
