Unfair Treatment and Lack of Support

There seems to be a political bias at play, as it feels like the observation board has been compromised. I was mischaracterized, and my justified response was used as a reason to remove me from the course. After requesting my subject access request (SAR), which I urge anyone with a negative experience at the institution to do, I found contradictions from the college team. Initially, they claimed my grades were insufficient, but then they withheld my grades and attempted to pressure me into dropping my complaint by threatening my course pass. I will not hesitate to share this experience again if necessary. I advise against this place if you value your self-esteem.

Politically biased, disrespectful, and unprofessional

There seems to be a political bias at play, as if the institution has influenced any oversight committee. They misjudged my character and used my justified reaction to remove me from the course. Upon requesting my subject access request (SAR), which I advise anyone with a negative experience to do, it revealed contradictions from the college team. Initially, they claimed my grades were insufficient, then they withheld my grades and attempted to pressure me into dropping my complaint. If they attempt to remove this review, I will submit another. This place can severely affect your self-esteem.

Daughter removed from her course

My daughter was removed from her course due to her health issues, while the college and unmotivated tutors ignored her requests for work to be sent home.

They leave you stranded and show no concern...

They leave you stranded and show no concern for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. While they claim to treat everyone equally, some tutors clearly lack the understanding that not all students are the same. My potential was stifled rather than nurtured by ineffective tutors. This pattern is not uncommon in such institutions. They should consider hiring more competent educators to truly improve.

Exceptional staff, courses, and facilities!

I began my journey at this institution in September 2019 and have successfully completed two level 3 courses, along with my Maths and English Language GCSEs. As I start my second year at university level, I want to highlight the supportive staff and multiple teams available to assist with various student issues. The campus has been a great environment, where I've made lasting friendships. The resources provided have been excellent, enhancing my learning experience. I've interacted with numerous tutors, all of whom have been friendly and supportive. Even as someone with autism, I've found the necessary support when needed. Many negative reviews seem to stem from unrealistic expectations of young adults transitioning from school. Overall, I have had a fantastic experience here and highly recommend it.

This institution completely failed to assist...

This institution utterly failed to facilitate my transition into the workforce after my studies. A foundation degree was meant to provide work experience and ease this shift, but I received minimal support. They even tried to discourage me, claiming I wouldn't be able to continue with them. The lack of awareness regarding students facing mental health issues and social challenges is appalling. I was given a poor substitute for work experience that amounted to a simple homework task. My tutor expressed frustration when I didn't reach out to my previous schools, reflecting outdated views from instructors who seem disconnected from reality. They often skip necessary support and consider it sufficient.

AVOID THIS PLACE.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I left a reasonable review of my poor higher education experience, and they attempted to have it removed. The statistics speak for themselves—it's utterly disappointing. Regardless of how many reviews they take down, the quality remains subpar.

A very unsatisfactory experience

A very unsatisfactory experience. The lecturers hardly teach; they seem more focused on their own activities. This is certainly not a college that deserves a good rating.

Terrible - STEER CLEAR

The Games Development course is a disaster. For three weeks, most lessons have been without a lecturer. When a lecturer is present, they don’t provide any teaching, just sit idly.

I wish I could give no stars...

I wish I could give no stars. It’s appalling! Placement opportunities are two hours from home, forcing me to give up my part-time job. Courses were dropped without warning, and many lecturers are unable to teach. Avoid this place!
