I got a text message prompting me to click a link to an unverified site, asking for my date of birth to access a letter about my appointment. Surprisingly, there was indeed a letter for me, despite the fact that the hospital already has a secure site but doesn't use it for this sensitive information.
I received a text message directing me to a site that isn't clearly affiliated with the relevant health service, asking for my date of birth to access an appointment letter. To my surprise, there was indeed a letter for me, even though the hospital already has a secure site but doesn't use it for such confidential information.
I received a text message with a link to a questionable domain. I suspected it was a scam due to the lack of SSL and the unusual domain extension. Additionally, it was sent via SMS rather than email, which raised further red flags. As someone who works in healthcare, this seems highly insecure and likely a scam. Avoid it and report it.
I just completed a brief questionnaire to confirm if my upcoming appointment is still necessary (all patients waiting over 12 weeks are being asked). I was initially worried the texts could be a scam and looked for clues. After using a secure laptop with updated antivirus software, I found no warnings and filled out a simple form. It seems to be legitimate.
As previously mentioned, this is indeed legitimate (for me, it was a digital letter service). However, the texts and the site appear very much like a scam. It would be better to use a more recognizable government domain instead of a .net address, so that less informed individuals can trust it and avoid being misled.
This text message has all the characteristics of a scam. Is it legitimate? I'm still unsure; some say yes, but it looks so much like a scam that it could easily mislead people. I don't even have a delayed appointment. Log in to find out? No thanks... 👎
This is not a scam, even though it appears to be one. I received a text message asking me to click on a questionable link. This site is genuine and was used to inform me about an upcoming appointment. **Note to the health service: this site appears dubious for two main reasons: 1. It uses insecure http instead of secure https. 2. It has a .net domain instead of a .nhs.uk or .gov address.**
I entered the information from the text to access my appointment but was given several options, none of which led to the correct site. I tried multiple times for different appointments with a success rate of only about 20%. It was not consistent.
