I had a medical episode which cause me to lose a few days recover and spoke to Clear about this matter and they quickly replied and moved my pending payments to another date.
I've had a good relationship with clear and haven't a bad word to say about., Top marks!
I am extremely frustrated! I ordered a fire on Christmas Eve using a payment plan, and I still haven't received it. The seller misled me about the dispatch time, and after the courier damaged it, it was returned to the seller. I opened a dispute since it was a significant amount of money. The seller has been ignoring my refund requests and keeps pressuring me to accept the order with a small refund and a free gift that I don't want! The payment service has now closed my request in the seller's favor, despite my providing all the evidence that I never received the fire and the numerous emails from the seller! Avoid this payment option if you encounter any issues, as they are not fair at all!
I was under the impression that the 'pay in 4' option meant monthly payments, as it was presented alongside other monthly payment plans. After making a significant purchase, I expected to make four payments over four months as I've done with similar services before. However, I was surprised to find that the payments were scheduled randomly within a short six-week period instead. I didn't receive any information about the payment schedule, leaving me confused about where my money was going. It's disappointing, especially during the holiday season when spreading costs is helpful. I won't be using this option again.
I had a very disappointing experience with the payment service while trying to resolve a refund from a retailer. I returned an item in October, followed all instructions, and provided proof, yet the retailer refused my refund. Throughout this process, the payment service was unhelpful, directing me back to the retailer and closing the issue without support or escalation. They claimed they had to close the case since the retailer provided proof of delivery and I hadn’t contacted them first. Even after explaining my situation and providing screenshots, they made it difficult to maintain my dispute. I was told they couldn’t assist with returns or claims, even though it was about a long-overdue refund. At one point, they effectively closed my case, leaving me to handle everything alone despite the ongoing delay. The service markets itself as a safe shopping option, but when a retailer fails to issue a timely refund, there’s no support or protection in place. I'm still pursuing the retailer for my refund, as it’s well past the legal timeframe for returns with no help from the payment service. This experience has made me reconsider using this payment service, as a provider that cannot assist when problems arise offers no real security. I am now considering formal action through consumer dispute channels, as I shouldn't have to struggle this hard to receive a rightful refund.
