I found Nordic Socks online. I ordered a 3 pack of winter socks and a 5 pack of mid-season socks. Total of just over £60 inc. delivery. I had read on their website to only wash at 30 degrees and air dry. I followed these instructions to the letter and found that after only one wash all the socks had shrunk significantly. The winter 3 pack ones were so small that I could not safely get them on without cutting the blood supply to my legs! My feet are size 11 and these socks are advertised as UK 10-12. I contacted Nordic Socks who appear to be a German company, nothing to do with the Nordic region. (socks are actually manufactured in Turkey). They gave me the run around asking for a photo of the socks, then a different photo of all my socks. Finally they admitted "We have rigorous quality control, but sometimes we fall short. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience, but please be assured that such incidents are quite uncommon. We would like to offer you a 50% refund for the Charcoal set of 3." I reminded them that none of the new socks were fit for purpose but that didn't seem to matter. After refusing the 50% off 3 socks they then offered to send more in a larger size. Not really what you want after spending £60 on 8 pairs of defective socks. I get the feeling this is just a scam to sell sub standard cheap socks as higher end goods with poor customer service. My advice? AVOID AT ALL COST. I'm going back to my usual supplier, I normally buy socks from (HJ Hall UK) - I wish I had stuck to them, always been good quality.
I’ve seen reviews here about bad quality and I couldn’t disagree more. I have purchased two separate lots of socks from these guys and I could buy and sell socks I have tried so many over the years. The winter wool socks are incredible for warmth and the cotton socks are so cosy. I can’t say enough good things about these guys….6 stars!
I love their socks. I've purchased both wool and cotton socks and they are awesome. Warm without being too hot and comfy all day long. I like that they don't have to be washed after every use as long as they don't get too dirty. My orders have always shipped quickly and arrived on time. And they frequently have sales.
Have bought Nordic Socks a few times for long walks and for two Camino trips. They are very comfortable and my feet have benefited from them. I love the patterns also. They are my favourite socks and I've started buying them as presents for my friends.
My husband has size 13 feet. He ordered socks that were meant to be size 12-15. When they arrived, they were very small and the heel of the sock did not reach his heel.When my husband contacted Nordic Socks, they told him to stretch the socks. This did not work. Nordic Socks then told him to wash the socks, which my husband refused to do, as he would not then be able to return them. Despite the socks not being fit for purpose, Nordic Socks would not pay the postage for the return of the socks. This is in breach of the terms of the Sale of Goods Act. So in order to receive a refund, we had to pay over £5 postage. Abysmal customer service. We would never use this company again.
