Review Time
I have used Norton for more years than I care to remember and without any issues. This year I moved to 360 as they have done away with the Deluxe, which was better without having to give out bank card details, which as others have said make sure you cancel the auto renew. The 360 tries to tempt you with things like "Utilities Ultimate " that will clean your computer on a free trial. Again as others complain ,when you do the smart scan it will tell you ,you need to buy it to remove these threats . This is rubbish ,for example if you use Chrome , in the settings do a clear browsing data/browsing history and cached images ,before your smart scan and you will find Norton tells you all is OK and no mention of buying their clean up gadget .Overall Norton is good, if they would just do away with auto renewal and silly priced clean ups that anyone can do themselves ,without their help .
So Norton 360 will protect you and keep your computer all sorted. Sounds good eh?Norton 360 has 'smart scan' that tells you that you have some issues that can be mended for a cost.No no no, that's what Norton 360 said it was going to do. I think norton is taking the mick... Buy this and then find that you need to buy that and then when you have brought that you'll need to buy something else. Where dose this stop norton?Disappointing
If you have a Mac OS and have purchased Norton 360, you will have to uninstall and reinstall it every time your Mac updates. It just completely stops working. This is every 2-4 weeks. The process to uninstall and reinstall is long and it truly was a pain in the butt to get through (4 times). Ive been with Norton for over a decade and they would not give me a refund, credit or anything but "it is what it is, cancel your auto renewal". Completely disappointed, Norton you have lost a loyal customer.
