[UPDATED - See original below] I'm revising the score up to a 4. They did get back to me after all and solved the problem, and I was able to port my Skype number over to Numberbarn even after Skype stopped functioning. I really appreciate the help from Numberbarn's Justin. Thank you Justin!I'm not bumping the score to a 5 because it did require posting here on Trustpilot to get Numberbarn's attention. Apparently there was an issue with my e-mail address, that it got flagged as spam by Numberbarn's filters. That was a function of the original problem where during signup there was a rather odd issue with my randomly generated password and password manager. This appeared to have happened with other users too. I think going forward they might need to tweak their spam filters, or have a way to scan their spam folders so that legit emails don't get totally missed. Other than that, I'm now satisfied with Numberbarn. But if you do experience an apparent lack of response, it may be due to something similar, in which case you might need to post here on Trustpilot to get some attention.So, new conclusion: overall, recommend.-------------- Original review (early May): -----------Three problems.Set up an account to transfer a Skype number in. Seemed to set up okay, but then there was no way to request authorization for the transfer. Maybe there was a glitch there or something.Second, and worse, is that I got locked out of the account for some reason. The username and password check, the 2FA I set up checks (different error message when I deliberately input an incorrect code), but then stops there with an "Invalid AccountID" message. Couldn't even log in to their community portal for getting help there.I sent THREE tickets over the course of 3 days -- NO RESPONSE besides the auto-response for the first ticket. The first ticket was about the problem with requesting authorization. The second I can't remember, and the third about the account access issue. I also sent an email yesterday ago direct to their support line. Again, NO RESPONSE.If you cannot get a semi-timely response (they promise 1 business day) for a time-sensitive issue, that renders this service subpar at best. Maybe Numberbarn is okay when things are running smoothly, but if you have a problem, don't count on getting timely help.Cannot recommend.

It gets like 50% of verification texts, I have lots of problems because many services will not accept their numbers. It’s better than nothing, but I can’t use it to actually call or text real people although I could in the past. I didn’t change anything but the app just stopped working one day and I can only communicate with short non human numbers, none of my texts to real people will send though. I lost over $1500 in an incident related to the number not working as claimed. I’ve already reached out to support but it’s been days and they’ve done nothing, and I’m a week into a trip without a working phone number, and only continue to have further financial consequences because of the non functionality. At this point, i don’t think they’re going to make it right because I’ve lost so much money compared to the cost of the supposed service

It was easy to set up and create custom messaging for, although I had admittedly been hoping I could create a more dynamic phone tree with multiple nested branches, I found I was able to do the necessary things for my business with the services they offered. Their customer service was easy to reach at the time and let me know what was possible. When staff at my business changed over it was easy to update the mailboxes and voicemails and forwarding numbers to reach the new people. The service worked perfectly for me without interruption the entire duration of my business. Eventually my business closed and I needed to cancel the numberbarn account. Again their customer service was attentive and got back to me very quickly and helped me close the account.
