I’d had my eye on a lovely Rolex Cellini for quite a while, then very narrowly missed out on purchasing it when the price was reduced. I messaged the shop, asking to keep me in mind if they ever had anything similar back in, or if for whatever reason the sale fell through to get in touch. A week later I had a lovely message from Giles informing me that the watch was not suitable for the original buyer and was I still interested? I agreed and within a week the watch was returned and re delivered to me. I cannot fault in any way the service that I received. I was kept up to date almost daily on what was happening. When the watch arrived by special next day delivery it was packaged lovely too. I am over the moon with it. It is exactly as described if not better. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Oakleigh Watches in the future.
Bought a couple of watches from Giles now and the experience has been stress free and ultra professional both times.Giles is an absolute gentleman to deal with and communication from initial enquiry, through discussions about part exchange to delivery have been excellent. In addition his product knowledge is second to none and his advice has been gratefully received.I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakleigh Watches or purchasing from them again in the future.
There are two sides to Oakleigh. As a buyer, the service is second to none. Giles is always helpful. And he stands by the quality of the watches. But be prepared to keep the watch, because there is no quid pro quo. As a seller, that is where the customer service stops. There is no fair buy-back precedure to sell your watch back if you are ever hit with an unexpected expense. Giles just clams up and ignores you if you want a fair price for your watch. You either take a massive hit, or go elsewhere. I purchased a Rolex Explorer II for £8000, trying to be fair I offered it back for £7500 even though it had not even been worn since buying. I realise he needs to make a buck or two, but the best offer I got was £7000. Bit of a liberty really, to a customer that has spent £45k in a year on several watches. Needless to say I said no, as I won't be mugged off like that. And all that is reliant on if he even wants the watch back, which is unlikely in my experience unless you want to do a part-ex for another watch. I'm trying to be fair in my criticism, as well as my praise. I am happy with the many watches I have bought, but expected better on the occasion that I might need to sell one back.

Giles has been fantastic to deal with—his knowledge and service are second to none.The process is always simple, whether I am buying or selling, and the quality of the watches is consistently excellent. Giles is also brilliant at sourcing specific watches dependent on my needs, which is a rare service to find done this well. Even the postage and collection logistics are straightforward and stress-free. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
