I had great experience with OCCU, specially with Nathan Johnston, he was really helpful, very prompt response from emails, every single question was answered promptly and explained everything when I was struggling. When I have applied for OCCU, took a little long till I got approved but once I get approval, it was really smooth and easy Really appreciate OCCU Team and I recommend 100%.
Terrible experience! ⭐☆☆☆☆I had an extremely disappointing experience with this agency. It has been over a month since I moved out, and they still haven’t returned my security deposit, despite multiple attempts to contact them. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. If you’re thinking about renting with them, think twice!Parkside
Now that the ordeal is over I can talk about this. I replaced one tenant on an existing two bedroom lease and these unscrupulous people didn’t mention the apartment was already in arrears. The other girl had not been paying rent since before I moved in, and fast forward three months later we were both evicted due to being “jointly and severally responsible”. Not a single person mentioned the arrears until after I moved in, and despite me having proof of up-to-date payments they evicted me too. To make matters worse, they held my deposit towards the arrears. They are absolutely awful.
We had a fantastic experience renting an apartment in East Village through Katie Colgan. She is extremely efficient, communicative, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Always supportive and helpful, she went above and beyond to assist us. Highly recommend working with her!
Had a truly great experience the whole application process throughout, Occu staff especially Katie but all of them were being so accomodating and making it a both neat and what felt like a very trustworthy and transparent experience for us as customers. Happy to now be a resident with Occu.
If you read the home page on occu.ie you would be impressed: "We believe that renting should be better, so we’re working hard to bring you the best". Unfortunately, it can't be further from the truth actually.I was a tenant in Fairway, Cualanor, Dun Laoghaire for 3 years and when I moved out I had around €150 balance on my Pinergy account. I requested a refund when I moved out but Pinergy asked for the landlord approval. Yes, that's right, landlord approval to get my own money back from my own pre-pay account. I did countless top-ups into that account so far, no issue then. Moreover, the other provider for heating didn't ask for approval for such refund which I received already.Such approval would be given by the head of "resident experience" at OCCU Fairway but she refused to do it. Not just that, but she's hiding the actual reasons why she's doing that. No replies to emails, not to me and not to Pinergy, nothing. She actually felt offended that I asked her to simply do her job. A simple Yes or No was what Pinergy asked for in those emails. It's worth saying that tenants in Cualanor are stuck with these providers for electricity and heating which are imposed on them by OCCU which acts on behalf of the landlord. But yet, OCCU doesn't do anything to help them out. They simply don't care, quite the opposite of the motto they promote on their website. So instead of "no fuss, no faff" they deliberately plunge the tenants into nightmares for every tiny thing. The tenants pay a fortune in rents and yet they are on their own.I can go on and on with other examples of what's going wrong at OCCU but that's not the focus of this review. I just want my money back.So forget about "better renting". My motto is "better leaving ... and buy a house" than deal with the "resident (in)experience" at Fairways. It's actually quite a good incentive to do so. These people often forget who is the customer and where is the money coming from.
