Annual HVAC Checkup Experience 4/5/2026
I had the pleasure of meeting Aiden Heinecke this morning for my annual HVAC checkup. Prior to his arrival, I received a text message along with a photo from Aiden confirming he was on the way. Upon arrival, Aiden greeted me pleasantly and explained the tasks he would be performing, including an estimate of how long the service call would take. He began work promptly and efficiently, completing the initial inspection and service.
After finishing the checkup, Aiden provided several recommendations for additional maintenance, clearly outlining their order of importance and explaining how each would benefit my HVAC system. He also provided pricing details for each suggestion. Together, we decided to address two of the recommended issues, following his suggested priority. Aiden again let me know how much longer the service call would take and proceeded without delay.
Once both tasks were completed, Aiden cleaned up the workspace, packed his tools, and returned to review the work performed. He thoroughly went over the costs for the day, and payment was completed for the service call.
Throughout the entire appointment, Aiden Heinecke demonstrated politeness and professionalism. He was punctual and showed dedication to his responsibilities as a representative of One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning Company.
I would highly recommend this company for their quality service and excellent products. Working with One Hour and their outstanding staff members, such as Aiden, ensures a positive experience. You can’t go wrong with One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.

Our A/C system was leaking Freon. The one hour technician replaced the parts and Freon, it cost us $5000 but the Freon was still leaking. They sent three different technicians but couldn’t find anything wrong. They just changed Freon again and said that we needed to replace the Freon every two months to keep the A/C working. Is it ridiculous!!!We had to call another company to check and repair the system. They found the problem and got it fixed right away.Do Not use the One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.
I had an extremely poor and exhausting experience with Cullins One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. From November 8, 2025 through late December 2025, the company failed to properly diagnose or repair the heating system in my home. Over this period, five different technicians visited my house, and each one gave a different diagnosis and a different price. None of them were able to fix the problem.According to their own service records:• One technician recommended replacing a low-pressure switch• Another disagreed and blamed the TXV• A later technician determined that both prior diagnoses were incorrect and concluded that the evaporator coil and lineset were contaminated and had failed, requiring full replacement.Because of these repeated misdiagnoses and delays, my heating system was forced to run in emergency mode for over two months, during some of the coldest weather of the year (down to about 3°F / -16°C). My family lived in a cold home throughout this period, and we were left with over $1,000 in additional electric bills. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a prolonged failure to resolve an essential home service during winter. The lack of consistency, accountability, and professional competence was shocking for a company that advertises itself as reliable and customer-focused.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values accurate diagnostics, transparency, or timely service.
One hour is just a deceptive name. Sales people are deceptive - ruthlessly deceptive. Had a ac to be replaced. The second floor was working fine. Convinced me to replace that too, at twice the cost of what I could have done that for. ( which I learned later- my fault). Now that replaced ac breaks down almost every month. - only been a few months. If there is anyway I could get them to haul their junk out of my house and refund me, I will happily do it. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, if you want to keep your peace of mind.
Lessons Learned: 1) Make sure you watch the technicians from start to finish to make sure the work is completed. 2) Make sure that what you are paying for is exactly what needs to be done. Do not let them sale you products. 3) Do not sign up for the Comfort Club membership. It’s a year minimum obligation for them not to honor the commitment. 4) Ask for an experienced technician. The average age for the 3 that came to my house was 22. My truth: My AC had cutoff as a result of a clogged drain. There was mold growing in my system. I was shown the picture by the first technician. You would think that’s what they would clean up. No. Left the mold all in my system after paying $523. But now instead of a slight smell in my bathroom, after the technician left I have a smell permeated all over my house. So I call the company back within the 30 day timeframe. The second technician comes out and show me pictures of the same mold in my system. If a company comes to your house, the professional thing to do, is actually address the issue. Charge the customer if you have to, but address the actual issue. The company charged me another $129, after paying $523, just for the technician to come out to tell exactly what the other technician did. Ok. Then clean the system. They wanted to sell my some UV light that would kill the mold. I am not an AC tech, but common sense would tell someone you have to clean it first. The technician told me that this $1200 UV light will disintegrate the mold. They want to make me another appointment. Ok. But why would I pay for a technician to tell me the exact same thing the other did. I can actually show paperwork if you DM me. The way the technician presented the package was like they were going to clean up the system, I got the number 2 package. Apparently, I only paid for the drain line cleaning which was over $300. But for each items the rest of the number 2 package is $300 each! Clean/adjust, de-ice, timer, breaker, uv bulb, flame sensor, pilot, clean/adjust filter, clean/adjust evaporator coil, clean/adjust fins…on and on. That’s the number 2 package. There are 10 different ones. This company is money hungry. You really don’t care about people’s AC system. How can you in good conscience, leave mold to permeate the air in someone’s home? Update: I got a call from the Operations Manager. He said had I got the Coil Scrubber for $1100, they would have cleaned my system. You be the judge about that.-Day 2 of 365, I am still having to pay them, one review from a Cybersecurity Engineer.
SCAM ALERT!!This company is a complete scam. They have been ripping me off for $20 per month and have not sent techs out for scheduled appointments. Now my a/c stopped working and they still refuse to send someone out. My $20 bought me a $1000 repair with a real a/c company. DO NOT use this sham of a business for your HVAC needs.
Do not use this company. We called them because we like to use local businesses (Frisco) when we can. Our mistake. They charged us $600 to replace 2 capacitors that cost $20 on amazon and take 10-15min to install. I should have had the tech remove the new capacitors and just pay the $100 service visit fee, but it was 105 degrees out and I needed to get it fixed. They also put a full press upsell on their service plan. We will see how that goes considering some of the other reviews I have read. I was particularly annoyed because he knew exactly what the issue was when he walked up to the unit. It is a 2 year old Trane and it didn't not take more than 5min to determine it was the capacitor.
In July of 2022 we had several people out to quote us for a new AC for our home. Ultimately, we went with One Hour and were initially satisfied with the service, the unit, and the additional service plan that we purchased. On Sunday, June 23rd, my husband noticed a drip coming from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Upon further inspection, he found that the copper line in the attic was leaking. We immediately called One Hour to come out and fix it. They came out the next day, Monday, June 24th, and their technician, Michael, said that the insulation around the copper line was old and disintegrating, and had not been replaced when we got the new unit. He fixed the part that was dripping, but by that point, much of the insulation we had blown into the attic in December of 2023 in that area was decimated and there were several cracks in the ceiling due to the water damage from the leaking line. Michael confirmed that the insulation on the line should have been replaced with the installation of the new unit. When we inquired about their process to fix the ceiling, Michael shared that his supervisor told him to tell us to claim it on our homeowner’s insurance. Not satisfied with this answer, we reached out multiple times to speak with a manager. After waiting Monday evening, and all-day Tuesday, we were finally able to reach a manager on Wednesday, June 26th who was available to come out on Friday, June 28th. The manager, Carl, showed up at our house an hour past the scheduled appointment time. We explained to him the situation and what Michael found, and we told him we just wanted One Hour to make our ceiling right since the problem was due to incomplete installation. We also explained that we subscribe to the company’s service plan and at least two, if not three, additional technicians have been in our attic, on schedule, to inspect and service our unit and its parts, and no one has ever brought this to our attention, leading us to believe that we have been receiving incomplete inspections. The manager looked at the damage to the ceiling as well as the copper line that was dripping and made notes. The manager argued that replacing the line insulation is not part of the installation of a new AC unit, but as consumers, my husband and I aren’t sure why that is the case. Additionally, we can’t figure out why no one ever brought to our attention that the insulation looks corroded and needs replacing even if it’s not part of the new install. We would have had One Hour replace it, no problem, but we didn’t know it wasn’t replaced at the time of the new unit install, and for the past almost two years, we have trusted that the technicians we have over to service the unit are checking everything and reporting back to us what needs attention. They certainly tell us when we need a new air filter. We heard back from Carl, the manager, today and he said they will not be providing any compensation to repair the ceiling, which since his visit with us last Friday has gotten worse and looks like it is about to fall in. We trusted this company as AC experts and not only did they fail us when it came to a complete install, but they have also failed us in terms of making the incomplete install right. This is distressing as all we wanted was for them to take accountability for their mistake and compensate us for the damages. We didn’t want to leave a negative review, we didn’t want to cancel our service plan with them, we didn’t want to take them to court, but they are forcing our hand by not righting the situation. We understand that mistakes happen and if One Hour had stepped up to the plate and taken care of us, we would recommend them; however, because they have denied accountability and refused to offer compensation to correct the damage, we regret doing business with them from the start and do not recommend their services.
