Review Time
After deciding I needed a new fire in my lounge, I went to Aldridge Fireplaces.Dan was extremely helpful and showed me what was available that would be suitable, loved the selection.Chose the fire I wanted , paid the deposit, and made an appointment for the fitter. Scott (the fitter) arrived on the correct day, fitted the fire quickly and efficiently, explained how to use the fire, and helped me sort out the warranty. He left the place clean and tidy. I was impressed.
Excellent service from start to finish. Dan came and quoted. Gave us a price and set a date for work to be done. Builder turned up on time. Fire was fitted the next day. Following day the plasterer arrived. All as organised.Cant fault the service.
Shame on AFPIf i could, i would award no stars. My 86 year mother purchased a fire including fitting for nearly £1000. Recently it has been turning itself off. She contacted AFP to report the problem as it is well within the warranty period, to be told by the company that she must remove all the coals and vacuum it, but they would not honour the warranty, it is her responsibility to make sure there are no blockages. She is 86 for gods sake, would they treat their own mother like this? They told her to contact the supplier of the fire herself and abdicated all responsibility. This is a lethal gas appliance we are talking about!!!! My mother is in bits and has barely slept since. A shocking display of NO customer service !!! SHAME ON YOU AFP.Use this company at your peril!!!

Brought a wood burner and they send a man to fit it. The fitting of the surround was awful and plaster was cracking. He used a standard plaster board and not a fire proof. He came again and stripped it all out and did it again. The plastering was again awful. The fire was fitted and was off Centre. When i complained again they came again and moved it ti the centre but then the stack was leaning. I did not contact them again as every time they came the job got done even worse.
Really impressed with the service from Aldridge Fireplaces. We started our journey at their shop and we were given loads of information about the different options we might be able to have.Dan quickly came out and surveyed our existing chimney and fireplace to confirm the options and to see if anything else needed doing. We picked what we wanted, got a cost and an install date pretty quickly.I changed my mind about demolishing the old fireplace myself and asked for AFP to do it for me. They didn’t add a lot of cost for this and when considering it needed a skip too, it was really good value. They achieved in an hour what would have took me a day - and I’d have probably done a lot more damage too. Upon demolishing the fireplace the team discovered the previous owners of our house had knocked out one side of the chimney support to centre the fireplace, so this needed fixing and a change of plan. It was quickly sorted and in fairness to them, you couldn’t see there was a problem at all until the bricks for the old fireplace were down. The change in the size of the gap meant the stove we’d ordered wouldn’t fit. They guided us on what would, we picked a different one and it was quickly re-ordered and sorted out… and despite all these extra items of work, the price actually went down!I asked for a log store to be built next to the fire to centre it up, and agreed a price for this (it was totally an extra, well outside of what I asked for and was originally quoted). It was booked in and completed really quickly and everything was done just a week later than originally anticipated (which most of that was waiting for the alternative stove to be delivered from the supplier).Dan and Jake who came out to do the install were great. Real professionals who obviously take pride in their work. They kept the work area tidy, were courteous and respectful, really a great pair.We’re really happy with what AFP have done and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
We visited Aldridge fireplaces a few months ago. Everyone in the showroom were really helpful. We went ahead and booked in to have a media wall built. Dan communicated with my husband throughout the whole process. He was very helpful and patient as we changed our minds a few times as were undecisive 🤦♀️ we were given help and advice to get to the decision of what we were happy with. We also had to change the date of our build and Dan was really understanding and accommodated our needs.Neil and Tony who built the media wall were both very polite, hardworking and communicated with me though the whole build.The plasterers were also polite, hard working and tidy. All tradesmen were one-time each morning.We are over the moon with it and can't wait for it to be painted.A huge thank you to the whole team for making it stress free and delivering an outstanding product 👏 👌 👍 🙌
