House looked just like pictures. Roommates are friendly but pretty much to themselves. Cleanliness is a+ for me. Host is responsively and does house inspections. My first experience with pad split. So far so good
I paid for my first week rent. I was supposed to move in 2/17, but due to becoming sick, I had to reschedule. I contacted the host and he was very understanding and said he would wave the change fee. I arrived the next week on the 24th to discover I was on fourth floor with winding stairs. I contacted the host and stated I'm 72 with COPD and I can't climb those stairs. He was kind enough to move me to one story building with no stairs. I have 2 female roommates that are very nice. One of my roommates snores extremely loud. The host stopped by and he heard what I had to listen too. He immediately moved me to room futher away and said he would wave the fee. I like to pay ahead of time to make sure I have no issues. I checked my bank account and PadSplit just helped themselves to my money. I contacted the host and he was surprised also. He said he's going to look into why they took alm$500 for my first week. I called PadSplit twice. The person was rude and condescending. She couldn't give me a satisfactory reason they took so much money for the first week. I could stay at a 5 star hotel for that price. I'm in a room the size of a college dorm. I feel I have been ripped off. I told host I didn't blame him, PadSplit took my money. I ask them how much to break my commitment. The woman said $360. I told host I'm going to pay to break my commitment. I live in Jacksonville Florida, but work in South Daytona Beach Florida. If drove from home every day, it's 202 miles a day. And we'll over $200 a week in gas and putting to many miles on my truck. I drive a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and it takes $75 to $80 to fill up and I have to fill up twice a week if I drive back and forth. I really like the room, because I'm 15 minutes from work. But I don't like being ripped off. I don't recommend PadSplit, once they cheat you, they turn nasty. Other than that, I have great host.
If I could give something less than a 1 star, I would.
The host was extremely professional and very accommodating of my questions. Move-in was of great ease. The house was clean, spacious, and in a great location. The Padmates were friendly and helpful. Move-out was just as easy as move-in. The pricing of the room was affordable and was a great value for the spacious room I was assigned. It's comforting knowing all Padmates are vetted beforehand, ensuring safety. I definitely recommend Padsplit! Thank you for a great experience! 5 Stars!
A few growing pains but overall, Great! This is my first time renting a room and it’s been great! I am living with a bunch of MEN😳 but it works🤔 I will probably stay longer than anticipated 😉
On November 30th I had moved into one of Pad Splits properties located at 206 E. Biddle Street. I was a tenant for approximately four months and had a twelve-week commitment. The position that I had with the Federal Government was not working out and I decided to end the lease on February 3rd. I knew I would have to pay an early termination fee, so I made contact with pad split and inquired what that fee was. I was informed it would a onetime fee of $174.00 plus any applicable rent. I agreed and made the full entire payment of $174.00 plus my rent. Upon my move out a few days later, I noticed and additional $276.00 deducted from my account. I immediately contacted pad split who advised that this amount was due because of my early move out. I responded that according to your employee, I was only going to be charged $174.00. I had put in tickets upon tickets regarding this. Yet, pad split even after all the communications and evidence that I presented is still ignoring their responsibility to reimburse me for the monies that they deducted from my account.
Padsplits is great. It's a much more affordable price and they give you room to stay if you fall a little behind. It's truly the best option out there if you need somewhere to stay for longer than just a couple days. If you only need something for a few days then I would suggest Air BnB. But if you need something longer, like at least a week or much longer than you cannot beat Padsplits. My only complaint is the app and the way things are sometimes done is very confusing at times. I've had a lot of questions about certain things but eventually I was able to figure it out with some help.
This place saved my life I went from spending my entire check on hotel rooms just to have a place to sleep to being able to save enough money to get my own place I sign lease on 2 bed 1 bath today and I was only able to do that because of pad split low weekly rates
My experience is ongoing. I've only been here for 4 days and I couldn't be more happier than how I feel right now. Thank you PadSplit for believing in me and thank you Host #1 and #2 for providing me with the opportunity to rest, process, and reset.
My experience at the location was terrible. I feel completely unheard and disrespected. I've been told directly that my ethnicity plays a role in how I am treated. Despite being an American Citizen, they deny it and hurl insults at me. If things don't improve, I feel like I might have to leave. The service is unacceptable. The online promotion seems to be misleading; they simply take your money without providing any real value.
The customer support is very disappointing. They do not assist with the problem at hand; instead, they provide vague replies without any real investigation or follow-up. The representatives are unfriendly and have limited English proficiency.
