I returned a pair of Men's Ecco Ealing shoes after less than a year to Paul Byron's as the sole on noth shoes had "split". My husband uses the shoes for work most days, not every day.
I returned the Ecco shoes to the store indicating a fault with the Ecco shoes and the quality.
After no response with a month, I emailed customer service twice wanting to know the outcome and they said they would get back to me. They got back to me 2.5 months later indicating "normal wear and tear" and that there would be no refund or replacement.
The shoes were posted back to me in a box with nothing inside the box to protect the shoes - just thrown into a large box and posted.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. An established brand like Ecco, renowned for their quality in walking shoes in particular, I just cannot believe they have treated this as normal wear and tear. The soles of these show are not of merchantable quality for the price paid - I paid €120 for these shoes! They are not for for purpose intended - I.e a walkign shoe.
I would think Ecco as a brand would agree with me that a walking shoe that costs €120 should last longer than 1 year????
Customer service very poor - there wasn't any redress for us at all. So so disappointed in this Irish business
The boots are lovely but, please believe me, what you call size 41 and also a size 7 UK is absolutely not. Its an 8. Unfortunately I wore the boots a little trying to convince myself they fitted, but they're too big and just don't work. I am a size 7/40. I still think your range and customer service is superb and I should have asked for a EU 40 and not your UK 40. I believed they were the same. Anyway boots worn once I can't return them now.
The website is easy to navigate, and the products are truly new, unlike those from the shop floor that I’ve seen elsewhere. The exchange process is straightforward, and delivery is prompt. I took off one star because my favorite boots in brown and black haven't come back in stock.
