I feel like I’m just echoing everyone’s sentiment, but I am so disappointed with the lack of communication with Paylocity
They lost my paycheck. My company had to get involved and there’s nobody to talk to a Paylocity. Their company is completely noncommunicative and it is such a disappointment.
This service misrepresents the ease of their FSA card program. This year, my employer transitioned from our previous FSA provider. I had a transaction that required a receipt for records. After I uploaded the receipt, they requested another one a few days later without specifying that it needed to be itemized or an explanation of benefits; it simply stated 'additional receipt.' I submitted another receipt, assuming the first one might not have been clear. However, since the second receipt lacked the transaction date (my oversight for not providing the complete receipt), they denied my claim and locked my card without prior notice, only informing me via email afterwards. When I called for clarification, I waited an hour and a half to speak to a representative, who explained that my card would be unlocked once my payment processed. He also mentioned that another one of my receipts was insufficient because it was the doctor's office slip for a copay. I’ve used similar receipts with other FSA cards without issue. This one had my name, the doctor, the service date, the card used, and the amount paid. However, since it didn’t specify the service details, they insisted on an itemized statement with diagnosis codes, which I believe is unnecessary, or an EOB, which also includes diagnosis codes. They also informed my employer that employees are given two weeks to provide the required documents before locking the card, which is misleading. The claim that led to my card being locked was processed on 01/04, the request for an additional receipt was made on 01/08, and the notification about the card suspension was sent on 01/11. That’s not two weeks. If EOBs and itemized statements are required, it’s likely that obtaining these within two weeks is unrealistic, as it depends on the medical insurance’s claim processing speed. This situation indicates I won’t be able to use this card at my doctor’s office, as that’s what is typically provided at the time of service, and they don’t allow adequate time to respond before locking my card. Stop misleading employers about the simplicity of your services, and stop deceiving employees regarding the notice and time given before locking their cards, because it simply isn’t true.
Paylocity declines every attempt to use the card for relevant expenses, like the FSA store or for a medical bill. They will do anything to hold on to your money vs. enabling you to use it for medical costs. Their customer service is nonexistent.
Two years with Paylocity and I still don't enjoy working with this system. We attempt to make adjustments to the leave time accruals and random numbers show up for unknown reasons. Our account rep, who is actually very good, says we have issues because we did not close out the pay period. Even when we close out the pay period, random leave accruals are added to the system for employees with adjustments. The implementation of the One Big Beautiful Bill OT requirements is terrible since we pay daily OT. I have no idea how OT is going to work in two days even after watching a webinar twice. Part of the problem is having them setup everything when we first started and now I have no idea to update anything.References in the help/knowledge base are out of date or do not link to an active webpage.
Paylocity is using my email without my permission!!!! I am NOT an employee of Paylocity nor an employee of a company who uses Paylocity. I have tried emailing them and receive a message saying I do not have a valid company #. This would be because I should NOT be in their systems. I have called several timesBut there are NO options for help. There is no voice mail. I receive emails every month about my timesheet. There seems to be no way to stop this!!!’ Really lousy company policy and contact options!
A year in to our relationship and couldn't be more disappointed. First off our account manager dropped us after 4 months saying he would be with us the whole way. He is still at the company just not servicing our account so nice bait and switch there. They told us a bunch of things during our implementation that were not true. We even caught them pretty clearly in a lie and they tried to gaslight us saying "I know it is confusing but that was not the intent" even though it was said extremely plainly. They ended up giving us a discount for the pricing discrepancy but kept saying they were not admitting they were actually incorrect.Had to take tax payments away from them on the first payroll because they handled it wrong. You never get your actual account manager when you call support it is always some random and you have to pray they are helpful (about 10% of them are). Today the agent on the phone told me I should not change the settings for employee account permissions because it doesn't actually work and will create problems and that I should instead reach out to the security team as they cannot change the settings. The security team has a response time of 3-5 business days..... Now my employee cannot run payroll till they get back to us. Every time you ask them about something "oh they just told us that is how it is set up and we cannot change it". $15k a year to just have nothing work
Paylocity is one of the worst payroll platforms I have ever used. I constantly run into login issues—my credentials are frequently marked as invalid, forcing me to reset my password repeatedly for no legitimate reason.Managing direct deposit is especially frustrating. Adding or removing bank accounts is a poor and overly complicated experience that feels unnecessarily difficult.I have previously used ADP and Rippling and never encountered these kinds of issues. Both platforms are far more reliable and user-friendly. Unfortunately, Paylocity falls short in usability and overall user experience, and I would not recommend it.
Their expense reporting is hard to use and they recently removed a feature that now means I spend HOURS more on adding expenses to my report. They used to have a feature to sync your credit card expenses, but they let it sunset in April, so now EVERYTHING has to be added manually. It's the WORST!
