When you join Pension Bee you are assigned a "Bee-Keeper". For me this was Chantelle Bailey who has been excellent. Chantelle is behind the scenes working on my pension transfers and keeps me updated via email, she also uses email to reach out if there are any information needed or urgent actions required.
If you are willing to put in a tiny bit of work and track down your policy numbers, your bee-keeper will do the rest of the hard work for you. It all happens in a matter of weeks! Which is great!
I highly recommend it. I have now transferred 3/4 pensions and I'm waiting on the last one. It is a great relief to see my pension balance all in one place in the Pension Bee app. I finally feel like I know where I stand with my pension.
From the day I transferred all my pensions to the day I’ve started to withdraw it’s been brilliant. The transfer of all my pensions went through so smoothly and I was kept informed all the way. The app works perfectly and keeps me updated on everything I need to know. The withdrawal process is pretty simple and easy to understand. I mailed and asked a question and I had a response the same day . It took me 5 working days from put through the withdrawal to getting my money in my bank account. I updated my bank details and it took them three weeks to verify. I had to repeatedly resend images, and they kept making excuses to delay the process and hold onto my funds. When I tried to communicate with them, they showed little interest. I requested their complaints procedure, but they ignored me. I wouldn't use this service again and strongly recommend others to steer clear.
My experience with Pensionbee has been great so far! Friendly and knowledgeable customer service team. The transfer of my pension pots over to PensionBee 3 plus years ago was seamless and quick. I've been receiving regular withdrawal payments from a defensive fund for 2 years, which I've been really pleased with. Great app and simple to use.
Would be nice to have some functionality to increase or decrease the regular withdrawal amounts as and when needed. The only method, currently, is to cancel the existing arrangement and set up a new regular withdrawal for a different amount, which is a pain...apparently it's being looked into.
Overall, I'm very pleased with how it all works. A new company disrupting the pension transfer market for the benefit of the customer is a breath of fresh air!
The company claims to offer a very straightforward system, but that is unfortunately not true. You need to have the provider and account number for each pension scheme you want to consolidate. When seeking help, they simply redirect you to the government website. Even when you enter the information exactly as it appears there, by copying and pasting, they still consider it inadequate.
