After comparing about five different personal alarms, we decided on this one for my wife's grandmoth

After comparing about five different personal alarms, we decided on this one for my wife's grandmother. The main reasons were no subscription fees, good reviews, and Australian based support. Setup was pretty straightforward, took about 30 minutes all up including activating the prepaid SIM. The device feels well built, not cheap or flimsy. We spent a good hour testing all the features before giving it to her. SOS button, fall detection, GPS tracking, battery life. Everything worked exactly as described. She's been using it for about two months now and it's been reliable. The SOS button is big and easy to press which is important for someone with limited dexterity. GPS is accurate enough to locate her if needed. Battery lasts 3 to 4 days depending on use. Customer service responded quickly when we emailed with setup questions. The value compared to those big alarm companies charging monthly fees is unbeatable. We're paying maybe $10 every few months for SIM credit versus $50+ per month for monitoring services. Really glad we went with this option and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable personal alarm.

Got this alarm for my elderly mum

Got this alarm for my elderly mum. Overall it’s been really good, though we did have a couple of small hiccups at the start. The setup was a bit more involved than I expected, mainly because the instructions around the SIM activation weren’t super clear. Once I sorted that out, everything else was pretty straightforward. The SOS function works well and sends alerts through quickly. The GPS tracking is accurate enough for what we need, and the battery life is solid, usually lasting three to four days. Mum finds it comfortable to wear most of the time, which is important. The only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is that the initial setup could be clearer for anyone who’s not very tech savvy. That said, once it’s up and running, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No ongoing fees is a huge bonus compared to the monitored alarm services. Customer support were also helpful when I reached out. I’d still recommend it, just be prepared for a bit of setup at the start.

Picked one up after comparing a few…

Picked one up after comparing a few alarms online. I liked that there is no monthly monitoring fee. The device feels solid, GPS works well, and customer support were great and helped me sort the settings before giving it to my dad. Happy with it so far.

Bought this for my mum who lives on her…

Bought this for my mum who lives on her own in NSW. Setup was pretty easy once we put in a SIM, and the SOS button works exactly as it should. We tested it and the message and call came through straight away. It gives us peace of mind knowing she can reach us if she has a fall or gets stuck.

Purchased this for my elderly aunt. What I like is how simple it is. One main button and no confusion. Battery life has been decent so far and charging is straightforward. For the price, it offers good value compared to subscription based services.

Out of date product no customer service.

There product is out of date difficult to configure and their customer service is non-existent. There is no phone number for them. They don't answer emails and I wish I had read the negative reviews here before purchasing.

PEACE OF MIND? CHECK!

First the company: Really good customer service and easy to deal with. Helpful guidance on setting up the alarm. The Product: Excellent quality, good features and a very good price point. Usage: The alarm proves its worth over and over. It gives enormous peace of mind to both the carer and the older person. I think that it should be "mandatory" equipment in care situations, particularly where a person is wanting to maintain a level of independence. We had to deal with a few emergency situations and having the alarm was such a great help. Thanks so much.
