Always a pleasure to buy roses from Peter Beales Roses. My rose plant was healthy looking, with a substantial root system. It already has leaf buds starting, now it is planted - I am really looking forward to seeing it grow, this season.
I’ll keep this brief. I ordered a half standard rose as a gift, but it did not arrive on time. I reached out to the company and spoke with the responsible person who apologized, explaining that my order had been overlooked. When the delayed delivery finally arrived, the rose was in poor condition, broken in several places. I contacted the company again, and while they apologized, they mentioned they couldn’t replace it as it was their last one. Given its state, I understood why it was held back. They promised a replacement once new season roses were available in November. At the start of December, I followed up to check if the replacement had been sent, but they hadn’t done so yet. They assured me they would take care of it. About 10 days later, the rose arrived, but not to the intended recipient's address—it came to mine. This meant I had to make a 2 hour and 20 minute trip to deliver it myself. The company did say I could send it through the post office with postage covered, but since then, I haven’t heard back from their customer service. Overall, this was a frustrating experience.
The order process was simple, and I received a delivery date. However, after that, things went awry. The parcel was routed through over four different depots, which delayed delivery, and it arrived in a broken, open box. I have already emailed regarding this issue and received a helpful response.
I ordered a beautiful rose for an early Christmas present. The website was a bit unclear, with some items marked for dispatch in 'November,' which worried me about long delays. Other items had no estimated dispatch dates. When I placed the order, the confirmation email was the first to provide a delivery estimate—December 27, which was not ideal. Unfortunately, there was no automatic way to cancel the order, so I emailed instead. It turned out the plant was dispatched promptly, but I received a response only after it had arrived. The rose is lovely, but the ordering process left me feeling uneasy.
Unfortunately, I've come down with a heavy cold and won't be able to do any outdoor work for a day or two. However, the roots of the plant remain nicely hydrated in the unopened plastic bag kept in a cool bathroom. I'm optimistic it will thrive, and I'm excited for next year when I hope to see its first bloom.
We picked up a pre-ordered rose on Saturday and were shocked at how poorly it was packaged. It was just a bare-root rose in a plastic bag with the original label. In the past, the packaging included a proper label with planting and care information. This was meant as a gift, and it looked like it came straight from my garden—so disappointing.
I ordered seven bare root roses on September 2nd and paid for them. The website indicated delivery in November, and the order confirmation estimated a delivery date of December 6th. I called on the 15th and was assured they'd arrive by the end of that week since they were intended as Christmas gifts. When I followed up at the week's end, I found out they hadn't even been shipped. I requested a refund, which was processed quickly, but it was quite disappointing. An email update regarding the delay would have been very helpful. In my view, there are better options available that provide a more satisfying customer experience.

About ten days later, the rose arrived, but it was sent to my address instead of the recipient's, resulting in a lengthy trip for me to deliver it. They did offer to cover postage if I took it to the post office. Unfortunately, there has been no follow-up from their customer service since. Overall, a disappointing experience.
