Great customer service as usual from PT.
I recently bought a DAC and found that a cable was missing from the box.
PT responded immediately to my email, send out a replacement cable, which arrived the following day (Saturday).
Well done to the team at PT. A happy customer.
Further to my feedback on our experience of having recently visited your Newcastle showroom.
I note you say that you have tried to contact me through Trustpilot?
I've had nothing, so not sure where that went? I was beginning to think that you preferred to ignore critical feedback.
I understand that Trustpilot do not want me to provide my personal contact details on here, for understandable reasons.
Can I therefore suggest that you provide me with a contact number and I will text you my contact details confidentially?
We visited the Kingston Park showroom today, and were very, very disappointed.
We had driven over 60 miles in the hope of looking at options for a new separates hifi system, with a spend of around £6000. We thought that this wasn't an insignificant amount of cash, but clearly it was insufficient to generate any interest from staff at this branch of Tysons.
The manager was polite and pleasant, but clearly sees this branch as showcasing very, very hi end options of speakers and kit.(think footballer spends -££££!) With virtually no mainstream hi fi options on show here, "that's for Carlisle" the manager here advised.
We did explain that we currently had Bang &Olufsen ( no response), and that we were considering the Naim Unity Star, as we had other Naim products. He had one on display, but it was on a shelf, around 3metres off the ground, and although we stood in front of it, discussing it, there was no offer to get it down, or to demo it. Perhaps there wasn't enough value in this sale? Anyway, he told us he was not a fan of the Star, as "CD quality is no where near streaming quality". Despite my wife saying she had many CD's she still likes to play, he was really quite dismissive.
We left after 10 minutes, cross and pretty disappointed with Peter Tyson.
A 10 minute drive into Newcastle and a visit to another HiFi specialist, and our experience couldn't have been more different- engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble, and all without any expectation of a sale. Even the offer to get a Naim in from another branch within a week so we could listen to it, without any commitment! PeterTyson, look and learn.
Based on our 2 experiences of Tysons at Kingston Park, we really can't see how it survives ( unless the mark up on hi end speakers and kit is so huge, one sale can cover all their costs) and we certainly won't waste another 120 mile, 160 minute round trip journey.
If you want to view, listen to, and discuss quality main stream hifi equipment, then don't waste your time travelling to this branch- pop into Newcastle itself.
P.S. Just to add, we were the only customers in the store throughout this time, so it wasn't as if they were so busy they were stretched.
My first contact to Peter Tyson on line was dealt with very professionally by Alex who helped me through my enquiry from start to finish, i would highly recommend this company and would have no hesitation in doing further business with them in future.
Although my delivery experience with the courier was disappointing, the customer service I received was outstanding. As soon as I reported the issue, a representative responded quickly, professionally, and with sincere concern. They took charge of the situation right away, kept me updated, and made significant efforts to resolve the problem — transforming a frustrating experience into a manageable one.
Once again, the company responded promptly to my order for the home theatre AV receiver. It was already offered at an excellent discount, and the addition of a high-quality HDMI cable was a pleasant surprise! The swift and precise delivery by the courier contributed to a very satisfying experience, yet again. I have no complaints about either the service or the delivery.
I had been looking forward to purchasing a specific projector for six months. When I finally placed my order, I found a seller with an appealing payment option and a promised delivery timeframe of 2 to 3 days. However, I soon received an email stating they were awaiting stock, which was frustrating since the product was listed as available. After a week with no updates, I expressed my disappointment and suggested they keep customers informed or offer compensation. Their response was to cancel my order instead. After waiting eight days, I was left with no option but cancellation, despite the product still being advertised as available. I had hoped for a positive experience based on good reviews, but I now regret my choice to order from them during this busy season.
I purchased a streaming device from a local seller, which unfortunately stopped functioning after about five months. I reached out on a Sunday, and the support I received was outstanding. By Monday morning, they had arranged for a courier to pick up the item the next day for inspection. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend them.
I needed a new dishwasher, so I decided to support a local seller known for quality products. I bought a model that worked well initially but then stopped drying dishes properly. When I contacted them, they showed little interest and directed me to the manufacturer instead. After multiple attempts to reach the manufacturer, I returned to the seller, who eventually helped me connect with them. We arranged a video consultation to troubleshoot the issue, which was helpful. However, I felt let down by the initial lack of support. I plan to use a different local retailer in the future due to their excellent customer care, even though they don't sell the same brand.
I recently bought a high-end TV and speakers from a family-run company. The sales service was fantastic, and customer support was very knowledgeable. They didn't pressure me into a sale and were available for questions, even during the busy Black Friday period. I saved over £1000 on my purchases. I am not affiliated with them; I just wanted to share my experience as a customer who is typically critical. I highly recommend this seller for your purchases.
