Staying at onyx I used prestige living who are also WeAreHomesForStudents to book for my accommodation and upon booking I used a cash back code for £500 and when it came to paying people I revived less than half. My emails were ignored and this Is poor especially as I’ve paid 350 extra to defer SFE payments to ensure I could stay here
Amazing experience. Have had no problems whatsoever, I have been told by a few friends that there has been problems in their rooms but were fixed within an instant. I would highly recommend for student to stay at The Place. Overall I give it a 10/10
Because i booked the room and pay the first month rent and deposit but dont get the room because the manager she didn't know about the policies and gave the wrong information to us and even after 1 month im not getting my refund yet !!
These people have no empathy, and will gladly take advantage of a naive 19 year old girl with mental health issues for money. My daughter has no experience with renting, and these people knew it! Don't go with this company, they cannot be trusted. The state of her flat was disgusting, and no matter how many times my daughter complained, the issues were never resolved and she was constantly ignored. They are now completely spinning the story no matter the evidence my daughter gives, and continuing to ignore the main issues at hand. Please, for your own sake... Do NOT approach this company.
Appalling experience with this company / wearehomesforstudents. My daughter paid a holding deposit in early June and visited the property in Reading twoDays later. The property was fine but not suitable for her needs and as per the terms she cancelled the booking. She was informed that her deposit would be returned straight away. On checking the terms and conditions this could take upto 28’days which was fine. 3 months later and after dozens of phone calls and emails we still have not had the deposit returned . We have followed the complaint process and despite promises of call backs, updates etc the deposit and a response to the complaint remains outstanding . Further correspondence has been ignored . The worst customer experience I have ever experienced in my life and on this experience , we are extremely glad that my daughter didn’t move in. Be warned if considering using this company for student accommodation.
Poor Communication and Lack of ResponseBefore you secure a place with Prestige Student Living, you might receive swift responses—but don’t expect the same once you’re a tenant. My experience has been marked by zero communication from them when it mattered most!!!!I’m moving out soon from Tribu Kingston and have found a new place to live. As part of my tenant referencing process, I needed Prestige Student Living to complete a landlord reference. However, despite reaching out multiple times via email and phone over the past three weeks, I have received no response or confirmation from their team. Even the tenant referencing company, HomeLet, contacted them without success.I’m really disappointed by the lack of communication and urgency on such a critical matter. I trusted that this process would be handled promptly, but instead, the experience has been frustrating and stressful. All my other information has been successfully processed, but without this reference, I cannot secure my new place and risk losing my holding deposit, which could leave me without a place to live.
