The booking process was straightforward and efficient, with the team being helpful in answering questions. However, I was disappointed when we were informed of a move-in date delay less than 24 hours before it was supposed to happen. Given that we were promised the building would be ready by mid-August, I would have appreciated earlier communication about the delay.
I feel the need to share my experience with this company, as I made a complaint about one of the maintenance men and was told it was confidential all my information was given to him and the people involved. The manager at The Place Accommodation and co worker Amelia, were giving information back to the man involved, even tho he had been dismissed from the company. I’ve now gone above the company after reaching out to them many times regarding this, it’s been a huge breach of privacy and I’ve had so much abuse and police involved from the information leaked. The company did act on my first complaint and removed the man. But the other members of staff giving information to the ex employee didn’t seem to bother them, so now I’m going through a case with ICO so hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.
A Realistic Review on Bridget St., StudiosHonestly, the studio itself is quite nice and the spacious storage is great. The bathroom size was good as well when it was time to move in. It was evident the last tenant didn’t do a thorough clean-up before leaving and the state the studio was left in was quite appalling I'm talking about hair in drains to the point where I couldn’t take it out successfully and I had to ask maintenance to come and do it. The fact that I had to clean it up as a new tenant was off-putting also trying to repair certain things within your studio takes a while to be repaired it took two months before any repairs were done actually as a building as a whole things take too long to fix the the lift was constantly out of use and the washing machine was always moving quite weird and the automatic door for majority of my stay was no longer automatic or whenever an apartment’s fire alarm is going off you’re unable to enter the building or use the lift that’s quite annoying, especially if you live on the fourth floor if your phone dies you cannot enter your apartment as the key is on your phone and if you call to ask them to unlock the door you’ll be hit with a 60-pound charge especially university students. This seems like another money grab on top of the amount you’re paying all of the rooms ending in 11 are opposite any of the amenities such as the chill lounge gym and laundry room and due to the doors being quite thin you will always have some sort of noise or disturbance to the point where they had to put time restrictions on the chill lounge another alarming thing was that thefts were happening during my stay that was quite alarming and my friend who lives below me parcels were being opened as well that’s quite unusual in my opinion the area where the building is placed is near multiple mechanics so sometimes at night they’ll be random car alarms going off while you’re sleeping and during my time the bin strikes were going on. They handled it OK they switched companies so our bins will still be collected however the upkeep in front of the building is absolutely disgusting there’s always trash scattered in front of the building or inside the building. Someone left their bins in the study room for a while to the point where the study room stank, and therefore I was unable to use the area honestly staying here was a rollercoaster and for the amount I was paying I didn’t think it was that worth yes the rooms were lovely however the building and the upkeep of the building was quite lazy cute place to stay and spend university living however writing this review has me thinking was it really worth it.
