I bought mascarax2 from this website. They started that they NZ owned and operated company. Yes, they registered here in NZ, but all their products are originated from China. Unfortunately, they do not inform the customers about the manufacturer place of their products in some reason. I find it very strange. If company can guarantee the quality of products they selling from website it is no reason to mislead the clients. The mascara I received after nearly a month of waiting was very dry, the mascara tubes X2 were absolutely empty. Also, it is no date of manufacture or expiry date of this product. When I asked them this question they started that their mascara has 36 months of shelf life, but it is unclear from what date as no any date available on the tube. I requested them to provide me with the name of their manager believing that may be she/he could sort this problem out for me. It was no reply, also it was no reply to my request regarding the refund.I read other people reviews, they had the similar problem. If someone had the problems with the quality of question beauty products or misleading information on their website or poor communication, can you please contact Commerce Commission NZ via email and report your case. It will support the customers around the world and stop scamming.
Well first off, it came from China. Says they are from New Zealand so that was a bit unexpected. Secondly, there is zero color, or glitter in this mascara. You literally cannot see a thing. I got the black and then a green.Edited: Update, I tried the mascara with a primer this morning and did multiple coats. That worked much better. You can see the color and the glitter but it’s subtle which for me is good. So if you want to try it, I’d recommend using a lash primer first.
I have tried many brands of makeup but this is the worst. The “Dark Flame” loose pigment does NOT look like how it does on their page. Which is so sad because I feel in love with the color when I first saw it. But no it’s a patchy black when not in the sun and in the sun has slight reddish pink glitter to it… it’s supposed to be this pretty dark red. And you have to use a lot of it to get somewhat of a solid color. I got another loose pigment in “holo amethyst” which is the only reason why I gave this two stars instead of one because that one is kinda pretty. Then to get free shipping I got a third product the “rose holo” shimmer lip gloss. It’s so sticky it’s gross and there’s bits of like a dark silver glitter or something in it that totally ruins it. It’s like this beautiful rainbow sparkle and then pieces of dark glitter that does not match the shade at all. Overall severely disappointed.
I have bought their products on a few occasions. They make it known that they're a NZ owned business, but they drop ship their products from China. This is incredibly misleading and would explain why I never received a reply with my complaints about quality. I have bought pigments without trouble (oceanic symphony, true holo, holo jade). After getting a batch of their lip glosses and glitter mascara toppers, that's when I noticed the fall in quality. The lip gloss tubes are only half full (leave them on their side and you'll see how empty the tubes are) and there is no glitter on the frosty lilac topper, which would lead me to believe the product is faulty or the tube is empty when delivered. My third and final chance was when the dark flame pigment arrived clumpy. I gave it a shake and the container was barely half full. I took pictures, sent a message on instagram and emailed with proof. Only to be greeted with radio silence. They need to step up their quality control from wherever they source and manufacture their products from or not sell at such a high price point, because you are no longer getting what you pay for.
