I love Quicken! I have been using Quicken for 30 years. Software updates are rather infrequent, which to me indicates few bugs and that things are going smoothly. Quicken is very intuitive. Over the years I have had to contact support a handful of times. Wait times are never more than a few minutes. I have found Quicken support agents always courteous, professional, and knowledgeable.
Love Quicken. Have used it for years. It works great for home users and small businesses. No need to buy over expensive software. Quicken still has some quirky things that happen in the software. Although I do have to say its getting better. Hoping merchants will continue to support Quicken Connections
Having been a Quicken user for the past 25 years, I strongly recommend that Quicken gets ahold of their annual cost increases - or lose not just me but I'm guessing many thousands of other Quicken users.
I'm VERY close to doing just that.
I like to keep track of my accounts, and Quicken makes it effortless. Quicken can access all your bank, credit card, and other financial institution accounts to update your balances. Quicken shows where your money is spent. It helps prepare the necessary tax information for your CPA.
have used the program for several years. Always liked the simple approach and utility. However, what once was a simple approach has gotten complicated with all the online "stuff" and the endless billing for the program!
The quickens program allows get to gather things together in preparation of my taxes. It also allows me to see purchases and payments in an orderly fashion. I do wish that the spendings calculator would automatically go to the last day of the month instead of the first day of the next month.
When downloading from financial institutions I often get item mismatches or duplications, and some credit card accounts it completely misses transactions. I have to carefully validate against the printed statements every time.
All I really need is a good check register, not all the extra stuff. Considering tryin to find something simpler and less expensive.
Quicken uses devious tactics to force their customers to renew their subscriptions (or rather yearly rentals). Right before taxes are due suddenly the currency switches to another country's (in my case from USD to Canadian dollars), so all the calculations are incorrect when using 'Reports'. The files are automatically saved into One Drive now, so the minute one gets online, there's no protection from external financial rape. When I tried to renew my subscription this time I was immediately funneled into buying your Simplifii App. The last thing I need is to have an online app that finishes off this raping. Tactics, like these, make me vow I will never renew Quicken again!
I have been using this product for decades. It was great during my "accumulation" phase of life, but now that I am retired, I find it sorely lacking for my "decumulation" phase of life. The rate of enhancements is slow, at least as it pertains to the quicken classic version that I use. What resources are spent are being spent on things I don't care about. Support can be frustrating at times. The cost for using the product was switched to an annual subscription and continues to rise steadily. This was supposed to provide the resources to avoid the previously mentioned problems, yet it has not. Having said all that, I have not found a better alternative and believe me... I have looked.
I faced an issue when I had to purchase a new computer as my Windows 10 was nearing its end, and the device could not be updated. When I attempted to transfer the program to my new Windows 11 machine, I encountered difficulties. However, the support team guided me through the process, and now everything is functioning perfectly. They did an outstanding job!
