Review Time
I first heard about Visible whilst nursing in the British Army during COVID-19.
Whilst I have never suffered from Long-COVID or MS myself (something I'm extremely grateful for), I've watched colleagues and friends suffer and really hoped for some kind of answer.
Visible seems to be it !
That said, I suddenly ended up in a terrible RTA in April 2023 and haven't been the same since.
Medically discharged from the Army, not to mention losing much of my independence, I've been suffering with chronic pain and PTSD.
This app really helps me pace myself - especially after multiple surgeries (last one on 05/02) and is a great way to keep on how hard my heart is working to keep me on my feet !
Super dinky device !
Thank you so very much to all the team behind making Visible possible 🙏🏻
I LOVE VISIBLE. I was hesitant to take the leap because I wasn't sure it would help me. I am SO glad I decided to do it though, because it has already done wonders for me. I live with fibromyalgia, among other things, and have a hard time knowing where my body is at and how to pace myself. I love the ability to see the heart rate monitor in my notification tray and the ability to get notifications when I'm spending too much time in my exertion zone. The ability to log symptoms, tag activities, and recognize patterns in my body's rhythms has completely changed my life for the better and it's only been a few weeks.
I personally see more accuracy with the arm band but have both options, and love how easy it is to switch between them.
I also LOVE the team behind this project and the work and love they put into it. I feel seen and heard. It's important work and they do it well!
I would recommend Visible to anyone with a chronic illness. It is improving my life every day and I can't wait to see what's next.
Visible has helped me understand my chronic illness so much better, and has helped me learn how to pace myself to prevent flare ups. I was hesitant based on the price, but it is 100% worth it if you struggle with pacing. I hope that it continues to grow and evolve and I hope to use it for years to come.
I have used the visible band for many months now and have found no positive impact from it. I feel as if I have wasted such a large sum of money on the band and then the monthly subscription for something that does not accurately read my symptoms at all. especially when finances are difficult when being chronically ill and the price being so high. I also experienced many rash issues from the band despite not having any allergies to any metal or other materials, and the band wasn't too tight. It simply just irritated my skin very easily.
I found that the band did not correctly correlate my heart rate to how many pace points I used at all. My heart rate bpm and how long it lasted did not seem to make sense with how my pace points were calculated. and I found the morning readings to always say im good when I was not and my heart rate was very high for the morning with my settings being set to show that is my exertion point. Maybe I just have further issues which cannot simply be paced or the band had an issue with incorrect readings but it just wasn't for me.
Budgeting was not effective at all, nothing seemed to match my readings and it simply confused me very much. Also the issue of pop up messages on the app which you can never swipe away, they just linger on the screen taking up a large part of it and the notification never goes away despite clicking on it and the chat itself.
I didn't realize how much I needed Visible until I used it for a week and saw how my daily patterns were draining me. It was also nice to be able to show my family why I was crashing and exhausted all the time. I'm starting to feel like I can pace myself better and I'm feeling very hopeful.
This service has truly transformed my life. Managing 9 different illnesses presents significant challenges. My doctor advised that energy budgeting would be crucial, but I was unsure how to begin until I found this service. With the help of Pace Points, I can effectively plan my day, track when I exceed my limits, and adjust as needed. I'm grateful for this invaluable tool in navigating my life with chronic illness.
I'm still in the initial stages of using this service, but I'm already finding significant value in understanding the energy "cost" of my different activities. I've come to realize that I was often overestimating my capacity before using this platform. It's no surprise I kept facing challenges! The wristband is comfortable, the app is user-friendly, and sharing my data is straightforward, making it easier for my loved ones to support me on my healing journey.
