Review Time
I have completed many Rat Race events over the years, most recently Run Britannia. I have no hesitation in giving Rat Race events a 5 star review. Indeed, I would like to give more if it were only possible. The events are 'one of a kind', the support exemplary and they are great value for money. I intend to do more events in the future, and thoroughly recommend them to any other adventurer too!
Rat Race delivered in a huge way on Run Britannia. The course was phenomenal in both scenery and challenge. Course support and logistics were excellent and the team went out of their way to ensure each individual was provided the best opportunity to complete the event. Further, they cared for everyone in a way you simply cannot buy with money. In short, it was an epic event run by an epic company.
A 5 week exceptional run from Lands End to John o'Groats! What a journey. Exceptional RD and crew who really wanted you to do your best. They went over and above to look after, support and encourage us! Nothing was too much trouble, and they were part of what made it happen! Great support leading into this. Enabled me to complete a life changing experience :)

It was essentially a coastal run on public footpaths that I could have done by myself anytime.Conditions meant activities were cancelled, obviously they can't control the sea, and so I don't know what it would have been like if we could have done the activities.
Wow, what an adventure. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Dominica is known as "The Nature Island" and Rat Race (RR) certainly made sure we got to experience as much of this as possible. This trip had some serious elevations which will test even the most experienced hikers. At no point was it unachievable and the RR crew were always on hand offering advice and support. The hike on Day1 gave a perfect introduction to the event. Day2 we got to have lunch in a stunning secluded spot by/in the river. Day5 will be forever ingrained in my memory as one of the hardest hikes I have done. Some days included rope assisted ascents/descents, but none were unsafe. As a solo traveller it was great to experience a group who were all supportive/encouraging of each other and this made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Dominica is simply stunning, I left like I was getting to experience the island unspoilt by tourism. I have done several RR events and have already booked further events for the future. Each day presented a different experience and I highly recommend this trip.
Just finished Rat Race Run Britannia 2023. Was a great experience the crew were amazing. James was a great organiser. We had some great physios and medics who put us back together as we went. The group was amazing and have met some great friends along the way. So any one thinking of doing this. I would highly recommend it.
