My Experience with a Few Golf Bags (Sun Mountain / CaddyDaddy / Samsonite / Ask Echo)Over the past few years I’ve gone through a handful of golf bags. Not because I’m a gear junkie (well… maybe a little 😂), but mostly because I hadn’t found one that felt “perfect.” Figured I’d share my take in case it helps anyone else who’s on the fence. My first “real” bag was a Sun Mountain. The best part was how light it was—I could walk 18 without feeling wrecked. But the divider setup drove me nuts. Clubs would get stuck coming out, and if you’re trying to play fast, it gets frustrating really quick. After that I switched to a CaddyDaddy. The storage was insane—shoes, clothes, random extras, it all fit. The problem? After a few months the structure started to cave in, and the clubs rattled around like crazy. My buddy joked it sounded like I was carrying a rock band in there, lol.For travel I picked up a Samsonite bag. No complaints on protection—it handled airline baggage abuse like a champ. The downside was the weight. Dragging it through airports felt like a workout in itself, and I’d be sweaty before I even teed off. Most recently a friend suggested I try Ask Echo. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much since it’s a newer brand, but it surprised me. The 14-way divider keeps every club in its own slot—no more clanking around. It even has a cooler pocket, which I thought was a gimmick until I pulled out an ice-cold drink on hole 14… game changer 😅. Weight-wise it’s a lot better than the Samsonite. Not feather-light, but totally manageable.
I was in search for a new Sun Mountain Golf Bag to replace my old one. GolfBags had exactly what I was looking for and at the best price. There were no shipping concerns, no damaged product and it was exactly as advertised. Thank you GolfBags.com!!
