Sea to Summit - Ben Nevis 2024 what an event, straightforward registration before race and all very well organised on the day with regards coach journey, course markers and support at various locations. The 3 pit stops had plenty of high calorie goodie's to grab. All the staff were friendly even when the highlands mosquitoes launched their attack lol. The one an only thing I guess was not being asked if I’d prepaid for a T-shirt but I should have asked so that’s on me plus they have an option for posting out afterwards tbf so all good. Hopefully see you in Wales Team Rat Race! Thank you all for an amazing race day experience and weather - this being my first and certainly not my last.
Very well organised race and thanks to all volunteers and marshals! No need to worry about getting lost or running out of fuel - the tuckshops at the pit stops were all well stocked and full of friendly (some midgie bitten) faces. Thanks for a great event and for bringing some sunshine too :)
I first took part in the Survival of the Fittest back in 2013 and took part yearly with a lot of Friends & work colleagues over the years we all have great memories of the fun and cold water that lay ahead of us. Seeing Rat Race had a new challenge it was great to be part of the first Sea to Summit event in 2024 (Ben Nevis) The Rat Race team were fantastic and I can’t thank them enough for their support, help and local knowledge of the mountain as we walk to the top and round Ben Nevis.
Amazing adventures, expertly organised and planned, encouragement when you need it and inspiration to do things you might not think possible. Have crossed South America and Africa with Rat Race and would recommend in a heartbeat. You’ll be well looked after and come back buzzing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 - Fran Hayes
The Atmosphere and most importantly the help of the volunteers race team and fellow participants.this was my first time doing the wall and if it wasn’t for the above giving you words of inspiration and telling how great you are when you have that just about hit that wall of not wanting to go on. Then receiving a round of applause and a cheer getting across that line. Receiving the medal and get one big huge massive hug from Jayne Braid who stayed along with her husband Graeme to watch me over the line after volunteering throughout the two days was fantastic .I’ve tested myself now to the limit and it hasn’t sunk in yet feet sore and blistering and hips gone only if I sit down and get up 😂 But from start to finish it was amazing fantastic brilliant.Thank you to everyone for their hard work going into this all the volunteers that stood in the rain in the middle of the wall still cheering you on. Next year I will watch and be a Marshall myself Thank You Rat Race for taking me out of my comfort zone and helping me achieve this. It might sink in a bit better after the pain has gone. Big shout out to Keith the DJ as well
