I consider myself quite experienced when it comes to coffee. For about five years, I kept switching from one supplier to another because I could never find that true coffee taste I was looking for — three years abroad and two years in the UK. Nothing ever really satisfied me.
That all changed when I accidentally placed an order with Rave Coffee.
It’s now been nine months, and I’m still buying all my coffee from them. I’ve even signed up for their auto-subscription, because once you discover Rave, you honestly don’t need to look anywhere else. The quality is consistently outstanding — easily some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.
I also have to highlight their decaf options. My wife absolutely loves them. In fact, they taste better than most regular coffees we’ve tried — so good you’d never guess it’s decaf. Every other decaf we’ve had from elsewhere was too acidic or citrusy, but Rave’s decaf is smooth, rich, and similar to a dark roast, with minimal acidity.
My only feedback is simple: thank you for such an excellent product and a great service.
I give Rave 5 stars for their prompt customer service. I enjoyed the first 1kg bag and then decided to try the Italian blend. When it arrived it was 250g and I emailed received a reply and was sorted within about 10 minutes. No demands for proof and the right size bag is on its way. The young staff were rude and dismissive. Even after waiting patiently in line, I was told to 'move along' when I inquired about the 30% Black Friday discount, as there was no visible till screen or printed receipt provided. They just expect you to pay and leave. Previously, I was told they didn't offer soy milk because 'nobody wants it.' Additionally, there was no seating available inside and parking was a challenge. This place is overhyped and could benefit from some local competition.
I've noted my experience date as my last order, but I first tried their coffee nearly three years ago in December 2020, and it has been part of my daily routine since! Over these years, I've settled on the Colombian El Carmen for my monthly subscription, which is consistently flavorful. I also enjoy trying different options from their extensive range, whether classic blends or limited editions. Every coffee they offer tastes unique, enhancing my mornings! I've only needed to contact customer service once due to an error (receiving a smaller bag than ordered), and they were kind and resolved it quickly, sending me the 1kg I ordered along with the smaller bag. TL;DR: Excellent coffee variety, speedy delivery, and dependable customer service!
I've been a customer for years. Recently, I ordered their Fudge blend after seeing great reviews on their website. However, no matter how I adjusted the grind, the coffee had a bitter taste. When I tried to leave a review, it didn't show up. They informed me they auto-delete negative reviews, and while they asked for my grind settings, they didn't respond when I raised concerns about their review process. It seems they don't welcome criticism! Unfortunately, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional and they clearly don’t value loyal customers.
The company failed to deliver my item for several days in a row, blaming the postal service and suggesting I 'find a safe place.' I explained multiple times that the postal service had delivered another parcel right before I received the notification about my order being undeliverable. Their responses felt patronizing and informal, which didn’t suit the situation. They also incorrectly claimed I would have to wait for my order to be returned for a refund, not understanding consumer law regarding delivery breaches. I never received my order, and the inadequate customer support only made matters worse.
The coffee is excellent, and I appreciate the added touches like brewing guides and tasting cards that come with subscription orders. I receive two bags monthly, which are reasonably priced and vary each time, allowing me to explore different flavors effortlessly. The flexibility to adjust my monthly order is fantastic; for example, I recently realized I was low on coffee and requested a shipment today, which was sent out promptly. Amazing coffee, great prices, superb flexibility, and efficient customer service—what more could you ask for?
