I bought a wireless wind instrument for my sailboat and fitted it in November in Titusville Florida. I crossed the Gulf Stream and tied up in Freeport Bahamas. When the wind hit 30knots half the wind instrument disappeared. I contacted Raymarine customer services as the wind instrument is under warranty. They sent me replacement wind cups - which cost me $100 in import fees - even though the part cost nothing - but didn’t send me the part to attach the cups to the instrument itself.
We needed to move on.
I contacted customer services again and was assured by Joel that the part would be shipped to me as soon as I reached a suitable port.
On reaching Puerto Rico - a US territory, I contacted Joel and Raymarine Customer Services but my emails go unanswered.
Shocking service by a multinational company.

My motorboat is equipped with Raymarine Axiom kit - I enquired, at their Southampton Boatshow stand, how I could improve functionality by exploiting wifi for transmitting NMEA data from the Raymarine kit to my iPad….when I mentioned I was using Savvy Navvy they said they couldn’t help and I should use the (flawed) screen mirroring for an additional screen…..the “salesman” was patronising, condescending and clearly did not want to help me with a solution….I’ve made a big investment in you Raymarine - you should look after your customers - consequently come upgrade time Raymarine won’t be on the list….
My TP2000+ was 5 months old when it failed (4 months unused in winter ) and I assumed it would either be repaired or replaced with a new unit as covered by a three year warranty. No- they only repair or replace items less than 3 months old with a new unit. I was astounded and shall never again buy a new Raymarine unit. If I do ever have to replace a unit with another Raymarine one it’ll be a used unit from eBay or Amazon. Half the price and at least as good a warrantyAnd by the way I have never received alerts for software updates however many times I ask
Part replacements not available, yet product still available new on line. Transom mount transducers for the firefly pro 7 fish/chart plotter are not available and according to Raymarine support in Australia these plotters are 'very old', and there are no compatible transducers available (except perhaps 2nd hand). REALLY ???
Recently purchased a 2015 boat with 2018 Raymarine chart plotter, radar and autopilot. I noticed that no updates had been done by previous owners since installation. This meant a quick online s/w update was too large and too many versions to do easily. With the invaluable help of Genadi in Raymarine technical support he sent me through a document explaining what to do and links to to download the updates. I had downloaded the updates to a microSD that was the wrong size and was having problems. He again pointed this out and all updates done. I have been a Autohelm/Raymarine customers since the 80's and always found them helpful.
I have used their product for some years now, and my experience is very bad, please choose another brand!1 Bad user interface, it is extremely unlogic.2 Unclear charts3 Customer support is 0, sent a faulty AIS unit for inspection because of a bad VHF splitter, They did not find any fault on it. Then it was inspected from a 3 party, they found the fault with picture proof of bad connector. Sendt the picture in and now Raymarine says they warranty now not valid because it was inspected and need to opening the device!4 Bad quality on joystick on chart plotter5 AIS and radar alarm, is impossible to use because of too alarms when entering harbor, not possible to mute, and chart plotter brakes down when you get to many alarms!
Raymarine are horrible marine systems. Do Not Buy! Over 12 years my E120 two station system never worked properly. In 2023 after 12 years of failures, try this, try that, maybe this, maybe that, factory returns, repairs and upgrades I replaced the E120 system with an entire new Ray Axiom system for $5,000 US. In less than one year it too has failed. I plan to have the entire Ray Axiom system removed and demand a $5,000 refund for selling defective equipment.
