Review Time
I ordered the REC X4009 Midnight Blue in August 2025 and it arrived last week (Jan 2026). I am very happy with the watch itself. It met, in fact exceeded, my expectations in terms of build quality, packaging etc/.... However, there were a few small things that reduced my overall customer experience.
First was the time between ordering and delivery. Inital estimates were delivery by Mid-November, however I did not receive my watch until almost 2 and half months later in early Feb (5 months after ordering).
Second dissapointment was more with the shipping company (FedEX) that REC. Their communications were hopeless. I received an email from FedEX dated 3rd Feb telling me that customs duty needed to be paid by COB 2nd Feb (ie: the day before) or the package might be returned to sender! Luckily I paid and the package was delivered. The only reason I mention this here is that after ordering I had asked REC to changed the delivery to DHL as I have had several bad experiences with FedEX...but they still sent it via FedEX.
Notwithstanding the above, I am extremely happy with the watch and would definitely consider another purchase from REC in the future.
I have owned a p51 Eleanor edition for around 4 years. The watch is a beautiful work of art. However, as an amateur collector I have only worn the watch a handful of times (around once or twice a year for the goodwood revivel car show). And although its been worn very sparsly, the orange colouring on the strap has begun to wear off and mark. I have reached out to rec multiple by email and have had no response at all. I have asked if it can be covered under warranty and if not id be happy to pay retail price for new strap. And yet iv can get a hold of them ether by email or phone. Very disappointing customer service for such a lovely watch. I desperately want to purchase the lotus f1 and the sr -71 watch but cant bring myself to commit if I cant be assured of after sales service should anything go wrong ! I hope this review my prompt a response and hopefully restore my faith in the company.

I first saw the REC watches of Facebook and thought “wow”. I have always been fascinated with the spitfire and the P51 Mustangs. So the REC watch with a piece of the original Spitfire on the face was something I wanted. After I ordered the watch REC emailed me and provided me an additional 10% off as I wasn’t aware of whatever promotion. I think that’s pretty amazing!! When I received the watch I was incredibly impressed. I love the blue dial. The weight and size fit my wrist well. I have just started “collecting” watches last year. I have a submariner, black bay Christopher ward, Hamilton and now this. For value and quality I would definitely recommend. Oh and it came in a very cool spitfire based box.
My watch was delivered quickly and for the quality and swiss movement is great value,I had an issue of my own making that was resolved quickly and effectively by Christian and Jonathan,I will be buying another watch from REC soon.
Great product; had a bit of difficulty trying to reach out since I did not receive an order confirmation immediately after purchase (actually some days passed by) but I assume it was due to the time difference and high demand season (thanksgiving week), nontheless the watches are great, is the second one I own and ordered a third one to be delivered in sept 2026
My watch is lovely.I now own my own uniquely numbered Evel Knievel TTT watch.The quality & packaging are very high standard.My only reservation is that customs fees etc need to be made clear.To state ‘free delivery’ but have £200+ charges added from the small print was a shock.To REC’s credit, we worked it out.I did appreciate your response.My opinion - highly recommended.
