My lease was supposed to start on November 12, and I paid my deposit in October. Despite this, the lease was sent for signature at 8:10 PM the night before, after I made several calls. Along with the lease, I received the move-in cost sheet at the last minute, which required certified funds that I couldn't obtain on such short notice. By the next morning, I was already receiving automated emails demanding payment. To make matters worse, the representative suggested I drive an hour to drop off a check, disregarding my work schedule. I ended up mailing the check, yet I'm still paying for utilities, insurance, and rent for a property I can't access. I've always been a homeowner and now regret my decision to lease. This company displayed poor communication and a lack of accountability while expecting tenants to accommodate their inefficiencies. I cannot recommend them based on this experience.
Although I am not yet a tenant, I want to express my concerns while trying to become one. The process feels nearly impossible. My husband, a veteran receiving VA benefits, and I have an excellent rental history and income, yet we were told we don't meet their credit criteria. This means I have to approach family and friends to co-sign a lease for a property I would be living in, which feels demeaning. I don't want someone else's name on a lease for a place I work hard to maintain. It’s disheartening that my husband, who has worked tirelessly for our family, is deemed untrustworthy to pay rent. The phone representatives are unhelpful and cold, making the process even more frustrating. Sadly, we have been denied, and I hope future potential tenants have a smoother experience.

I don’t understand this approach; retaining good tenants should be a priority to avoid costly vacancies.
The basement floods during extended rain, causing unpleasant odors to rise through the vents. Accessing the basement requires passing through my bedroom. I'm frequently charged additional fees due to billing errors, and recently, I was unexpectedly charged $700 for landscaping without prior discussion, aside from staining the back porch, which isn't my responsibility. I've reached out via email and left messages regarding the fee but have received no response.
The communication here is poor and misleading. We were initially told we were fully qualified and that the lease was being prepared. Less than 24 hours later, we were informed that we were no longer getting the house as it had been signed off to someone else.
