Defintly a scam. They even call and threatin to shut off your power. Don't deal with them ever. They also deny it on the phone when you call. Bad company unprosessional phone people. They wont leave you alone.

Steer clear of Residents Energy unless…

Steer clear of Residents Energy unless you enjoy spending close to $200 of your energy bill on service surcharges! My bill went up 139%!!! We called to switch back to Duke Energy and were told that it would need to take a few months (i.e. we want to scam you of your hard earned money for as long as possible). I can't say enough bad things about this carrier!! Our usage went down, our cost for usage went down but their cost to pad their pockets via surcharges were over $100 the first month and $200 the second. Never Again!!!

Absolute Scam

This company is a scam top to bottom. Any company that promises you lower rates would never pay canvassing reps to come to your door. DON'T LET THEM IN, DON'T ANSWER THEIR CALLS, DONT SIGN UP. This is the single most poorly operated company I've ever dealt with. F*** this place!!!! Seriously, don't fall for their high-pressure sales tactic. Just do ONE google search before anything else and you'll see...
