Caution with the latest model: Freezing issues and noise complaints

Caution with the latest model. The control pad frequently freezes and emits a high-pitched noise. Customer service is lacking; the support team seems knowledgeable but only replaces units. I’m still waiting for a callback regarding my complaint, but nothing has happened yet. I purchased three units, returning two, and the third is also freezing, making pairing impossible. Additionally, they are not backwards compatible.

Warning about the latest model

Warning about the latest model. The control pad often freezes and produces a high-pitched noise. Customer service is inadequate; the support team appears informed but merely swaps out units. I'm still awaiting a callback to address my complaint, but I've heard nothing so far. I bought three units, returning two, and the third is freezing as well, preventing pairing. Moreover, they lack backward compatibility.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience, I have a unit that initially arrived broken, which was resolved but incurred extra installation costs. Now, a few years later, the control panel has malfunctioned. I would advise against this brand entirely.

Effective radiators but app needs improvement

The radiators work effectively, but the application is quite lacking. It's confusing to navigate without guidance, and it doesn't offer API access. Unlike the previous version, which allowed for automation like turning off all radiators at a specific time, this one lacks that feature. An API would be greatly beneficial for integration with home assistance systems.

Avoid this company completely

I have been left in limbo for months by the technical support team. The representative has ignored numerous emails regarding my technical issues with two units. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered—unprofessional and rude. I plan to file a complaint and seek financial compensation for the stress and time wasted. This organization stops communicating when pressed for solutions. Please do not purchase from this unreliable company!

Helpful technical support experience

Once I received a call from the technical support team, the experience was excellent. The representative communicated clearly and guided me through the process step by step after identifying the issue. She even followed up the next day to assist with custom programming for the heater. Her patience and knowledge were commendable. The initial point of contact was also helpful.

High running costs for electric heaters

We had several electric radiators installed three years ago. While they generate substantial heat, they are extremely costly to operate. Set to an automatic temperature of 17 degrees, the larger units cost nearly £1.75 an hour to run! This is significantly higher than older models. We simply cannot afford to keep them running during winter despite being marketed as economical. Very disappointed after spending a considerable amount on them.

Inconsistent performance and sensitivity issues

Inconsistent performance, it's overly sensitive and turns off if a curtain brushes against it at night or if anything is within a meter, claiming it will overheat. The controls are cumbersome and slow to set up. I disabled the open window feature to prevent it from shutting off, but it made no difference. I replaced it thinking the sensor was faulty, but the new unit behaves the same. I wouldn't recommend this for a busy family home. I wish I could return it for something better.

False advertising regarding warranty

They sold me a unit with a supposed 10-year guarantee. After three years, it started failing, and when I reached out with my serial number, they claimed they would escalate the issue. However, nine months later, after following up, I was told it was out of warranty. This was due to their lack of response to my earlier emails. Do not buy; these units pose fire hazards. I've unfortunately purchased multiple units, so I will need to contact trading standards.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service and a subpar product. The control panel broke just over three years into use. Instead of sending someone to assess the issue, they required me to pay for an approved electrician. While the electricians were great, they confirmed the console was broken. Now, I'm left with an offer to pay over £200 for a new console for something that failed within three years. Terrible customer service; they clearly do not care. Avoid this product.
