DO NOT TRUST ROOMER AT ALL!We browsed a hotel last evening and proceeded to complete the booking but at the very last minute had a change of mind and did not enter the pin code that my bank sent to my phone. That means payment should not have been authorised. Yet Roomer was magically able to take money out of my credit card!!!! They sent me a confirmation email but no payment receipt etc. Their phone numbers do not work, there is no way you can talk to them. They have emailed me back that they are looking into my request and will get back to me. I had to cancel my credit card because these people were able to charge it without my authorisation. Do not trust them!

The real hotel videos are amazing!

The fact I was able to see real videos of the hotels I was considering was amazing! Not only I got a great price on the hotel itself (great price comparison with major sites available), I was able to see real guest video of the hotels, and see how they actually look. This really helped me make a better decision.One of the coolest booking websites I've seen, with an amazing twist.

Booked another hotel through Roomer. On the plus side we have had many great experiences with this company. On the negative side we’ve had a couple of bad experiences, overall happy with the customer service experience we’ve had. Very difficult to get through to them on a weekend I have found, not sure why that has been.

Got a great last minute deal in Amsterdam for 75% off. I was a bit skeptical about the process, but the roomer team reached out to me directly walking me through how it works. Checked in and checked out without any problems. Pretty cool

Great support - was able to sell my room in Abu Dhabi at the last minute and roomer took care of the name change even though the hotel originally told me I wouldn’t be able to change it.

Scam - stick to the other sites

I booked a room through Roomer after struggling to find availability on my usual sites like Trivago, Airbnb, and Booking.com. After I made the payment, I received an email saying a confirmation would follow, but it never did. When I arrived at the property, the host was nowhere to be found. I contacted him via the Airbnb app, and he told me he had informed Agoda that he could not accept the booking, asking them to cancel and issue a refund. However, I never booked through Agoda—I booked through Roomer. The host also mentioned he didn't even use or list on Roomer.Stranded, I emailed Roomer, and they promised to respond within 24 hours which was too long, so we called multiple times to which they eventually hung up without answering any! I ended up booking an Airbnb after 3 hours at the property and requested a refund. Over the next few days, Roomer asked if I had managed to check in, but I never received a response or refund to my reply. In the end, I had to claim the money back through my bank.

Book early in advance or better not at all

I booked a room with Roomer on the day of my planned arrival. The amount was charged to my creditcard (strangely about 50% more than the reservation said) and i got an email which said it is processing. When I arrived at the hotel, they havent had my name, so i tried to contact Roomer via email and whatsapp. There was no phone number in the processing email.So end of the day: I didn't hear back from Roomer until 2! days after my planned arrival. I had to get another hotel, while not knowing if Roomer finally processes my booking, leaving me with two hotel rooms.They only answered on the email with the words "credit card charge back" in it. Maybe that tells all you need to know.
