CAUTION - System Error Could Lead to Additional Ticket Costs. A Complete Scam. I booked a flight from Melbourne to Hanoi through an online platform. During the booking process, I carefully provided my full passport details, including my three-word given name. Due to a technical glitch, the platform's system only transmitted the first word of my given name to the airline. My flight confirmation arrived with an incorrect name that I cannot use. After reaching out to customer service multiple times via phone and email, I received the same unhelpful response: "The name change must be done by the airline." When I contacted the airline directly, they informed me that they cannot modify names on bookings made through third-party agents—the booking agent must handle this request. Now I find myself in a frustrating situation. The platform refuses to take accountability for their system's error, and the airline is unable to assist. Because of this mistake and the platform's unwillingness to rectify it, I am likely to be denied boarding and have to purchase a new ticket at the last minute. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it resembles a scam that jeopardizes both the customer's money and travel plans. The platform accepted my payment but failed to deliver a valid ticket. Final advice to travelers: Safeguard yourself. Book directly with the airline. Steer clear of this platform unless you want to risk your hard-earned money and travel arrangements. Message to the platform: You have performed poorly. You created this issue with your flawed system and then abandoned your customer. You do not deserve any praise.
WARNING - WAYA's Error Could Cost You A New Ticket. A Total Scam.I booked a VietJet flight from Melbourne to Hanoi through the WAYA website. During the booking, I carefully entered my full passport details, including my three-word given name.WAYA's system, due to a technical error, transferred only the first word of my given name to the airline. My VietJet confirmation arrived with an incorrect, unusable name.When I contacted WAYA's customer service multiple times (both by phone and email), they gave me the same useless response: "The name change must be done by VietJet." I contacted VietJet directly, and they clearly stated they cannot amend names on bookings made by third-party agents—only WAYA, as the booking agent, can request this.Now I am stuck in a hopeless limbo. WAYA refuses to take responsibility for their own system's error, and the airline cannot help. Because of WAYA's mistake and their refusal to fix it, I will likely be denied boarding and forced to buy a brand new ticket at the last minute.This is not a simple inconvenience; it's a scam-like practice that puts the customer's money and travel plans at severe risk. ConnectSure did live up to its promises! as of today all is settled (November 21, 2025)On September 30, 2025 we (my wife and I) missed our second flight from Athens to Geneva because pour first flight was delayed due to technical reasons.I bought replacement tickets for the two of us for (2x214.45) 428.90 euros)On November 11, 2025 I received 144.18 CHF (150 euros) from DoHop. I filled out another claim for the same situation for our friend travelling with us and she received the full amount for the replacement ticked for 197.06.This is in line with the DoHop advertising should there be a delay and necessity to buy a new ticked.I have this feeling that there is not a standard procedure when ConnecSure enters into play.I'm still waiting to see what happens next...OK all is settled to my complete satisfaction...PS. The "help desk" service is good but the insurance proposed can be a hassle. (see above :-)
