After catching some deals a while back on some plates, ( backpack ) for both my backpacks I realized that they could also be repurposed as front and back plates in the right carrier. So I purchased a carrier from another company and they fit like a glove! The holidays began and caught some more good deals on their side armor to complete my carrier. Though I haven’t had to use them, I do feel confident they do what they say they’ll do. The armor is light and durable so rather in my backpack or carrier…..they don’t feel out of place or like I’m carrying around a bunch of extra weight…..just feels right?! Highly recommend! It’s better to safe than sorry! 🤷♂️
The armor panels themselves are very light, which is good but the carrier seems kind of cheap. I got the three A+ panels and they kind of feel like it’s just a sheet of plastic in front of a regular level three panel which kind of gives away the fact that I’m wearing armor concealed if I’m just wearing a polo shirt
I ordered gloves BOGO, only 1 pair of gloves arrived. I called SLD to inquire about my 2nd pair of gloves and was told they were on back order and would be delivered in 13 weeks! I asked the woman I spoke with why wasn't I notified she said an email was sent on X date I looked and no email. She continued to make excuses but had no resolution nor compensation for this ridiculous delay. This was my first and last time dealing with Safe Life Defense, I will spend my hard earn money else where.
