Review Time
I have to agree with the other negative reviews. Very, very shady company. Lied to their original backers/supporters and tried to hide the truth from the public. Take a look at the Center for Pet Safety's post explaining part of the situation. Just google "saker center pet safety". They will delete any negative comments or reviews and block you from their Facebook page. Avoid at all costs, their harness is NOT safe.
I personally got a harness post-kickstarter and have found the harness to have no issues. There was an issue with the buckles (I didn’t really experience many problems but knew it was a thing) - they shipped the new buckles and I haven’t had an issue since. I have a M-L harness with the accession (two parts) which makes it slip-proof which is a major issue with my dog. The bags work a charm and he can now carry his own water/essentials on hikes. The car component just makes me feel more at ease as it’s a lot stronger than other harnesses out there (irrespective of the questions around CPS). The only other option I have is the EZY harness for car safety which rubs under his arms (don’t have this issue with his saker). All round no issues and worth the money to me.
This company deleted my low review on their website and also deleted a comment I posted on their Facebook page about their crash test certification. I was also blocked from their Facebook page. All for asking a reasonable, polite question about their product. I now hear from other people that this company regularly deletes negative comments and reviews and then blocks the poster. Unethical and shady business practice. Coupled with their crash test certification being revoked and the news about them knowingly sending out harnesses with faulty buckles - bad news.
Be very wary of this company. Firstly there is no direct customer support only an email to reach out to and they get back to you whenever is convenient for them. Second the dimensions for the harness they advertise are not correct I got mine it's really nice but the hole for the neck is way smaller than what is stated on the website. Last but not least these harnesses get dirty very fast and the material makes the dirt stand out. Attempting to refund my order as of 2 days now and still no word back. Looks like I'll have to have the bank contact them.
where do i start! Well in May 2022, i fell for the swanky marketing and signed up for the pre launch of the 'premium' all in one dog harness. They stated that you'd not need another dog harness, this one would be repaired it if broke, life time warranty. Crash test and CPS certified. In July 2022 I became a backer on their kick starter.Skip forward to February 2023 after many delays, the standard size harnesses where starting to be shipped out, On their Fan page people posted videos of faulty buckles, a light touch on a buckles made them come undone which were then deleted by saker admins. Saker sat on this fault and still carried on shipping out the harnesses with faulty buckles. 2 weeks later they finally let backers/customers know with an update, but down played how bad many of the buckles were. They did not pause production or shipping. The prototype buckled had not been replicated when mass producted in China. They started on re designing the buckle to fix the fault, while still shipping out the buckles on the harnesses. They did not inform the CPS that they had altered the design of the buckles and harness that had passed the original crash testing. CPS were informed of this via a third party not by Saker. The new buckles and harness did not pass. Due to the coverup of the buckles, shipping out faulty buckles and not informing CPS of the redesign, CPS revoked their certification. Please check in with the Centre of Pet Safety to confirm this revoking
