Rascist staff, been told to go back to my country if I don't follow the regulations of SBB. The attendant asked for my ID when checking my ticket, I did not bring my ID with me as I was not asked to do so in my previous travels with SBB, and then we were bullied with the statement above. The train was from Zentral Milano to Basel, we board at Visp at 20:45, the attendant was a tall thick white male.

We faced discriminatory treatment from the train staff as Asian passengers. Our experience was unpleasant, and the staff spoke to us in a very harsh manner.

WARNING: INTIMIDATION AND INTRUSION BY OFFICERS ON S9 TRAIN. Officers accessed my phone and forcibly deleted video evidence of their harassment and intimidation towards me. The officers on this route were aggressive and even interfered with my companion's phone to remove photos. They shouted at us in a hostile manner, threatening to increase our fine if we did not erase the video of their aggressive behavior. One officer physically deleted the video while speaking to another officer, which was a blatant invasion of privacy. During this incident, I was subjected to discriminatory comments. Despite my attempts to communicate, I was met with hostility and intimidation. This was a clear abuse of authority, infringing on my privacy, making discriminatory remarks, and employing intimidation. No one should have to endure such treatment.

Exorbitant ticket fees.

I had to pay an additional 79 Francs to the ticket collector for taking an earlier train, even though our original train was running late and we would have missed our connection. I tried to explain the situation, but he simply said, "doesn't matter." Train prices are excessively high, and ticket collectors are inflexible even when valid reasons are presented for needing to take an earlier train. This is especially frustrating when the train is mostly empty.

Lack of communication and assistance.

The train experienced an issue, which is understandable. I was informed by the app to expect a train 30 minutes later, so I waited. However, I received no warning or notification, and when I checked the main screen, I saw all trains to my destination were canceled. I looked for someone to assist me, but there was no one around. I was unsure if I could take a bus because my pass didn't cover all zones. I expected at least some guidance from security, but when I asked the train driver about the situation, he was rude and dismissive. This caused unnecessary panic.

Excessive prices for inadequate service.

The tickets are already quite expensive, often more than airfare, and now I have to pay extra to access toilets at the stations??? This is outrageous! Additionally, some stations only have stairs, making it difficult to navigate with large suitcases. The connections are so tight that there's hardly any time to find elevators or alternative options. I've had many negative experiences with this transport service.

Generally good service.

The staff is pleasant, and the trains are clean (if only passengers wouldn't leave their trash behind). I have great respect for the bus drivers, who often deal with rude customers. However, the ticket prices are quite high, especially for students and seniors. Other than that, I can’t complain too much, although delays can be frustrating.

A frustrating experience.

Trains are often overcrowded, making it hard to find a seat during peak hours. When traveling outside of rush hour, the trains are not as well equipped, even in first class. The half-fare card automatically renews, and they won't issue refunds even if you wish to cancel shortly after the payment date. Moreover, if you call to complain, they send a higher renewal invoice. This is truly frustrating.
