Scam-detector.com com is certainly not only criminal but certainly unconscious.With the unconscious or proven complicity of trustpilot.com, our first responses about scam-detector.com on Trustpilot.com were redflaged by scam-detector.com and then removed by Trustpilot.com.Scam-detector.com is defaming us and causing us to lose reputation, image and money. The greatest damage to date is that suffered by the European Union Commission, which rejected AFRICA55DURABLE after reading the defamatory report from scam-detector.com.
Trust pilot is the most reliable scam detection site I am aware of, and I am genuinely alarmed that they give scam/detector.com a “great” 4.1/5 rating. I found this site while researching scam/fake e-commerce websites, which I track constantly because I’m building a browser extension to educate users on how to detect them.It’s impossible to know how many scam sites are out there or how many people are being victimized, but we can be sure the number is high, and I’m pretty confident we’ll never know the answer. Consumers are not nearly equipped with the skills or detail orientation necessary to detect fake sites and scammers. It should not be their responsibility to become overnight experts on detecting this garbage. Fake e-commerce sites are a small segment of how this website appears to victimize people, as is made very clear by these reviews. I’ve only read the one star ratings because I left one yesterday, and it has magically vanished.I am so sorry for all of the small business owners and people out there just trying to operate a website while being extorted and harassed. This is one of the more horrid scams I’ve seen in my career.

Yep, these folks at Scam-Detector are using their site to pressure small businesses for money.If you look closely, their data is inconsistent, and they tend to target sites that are less likely to push back. Conveniently, Amazon gets a 100% rating.Read the company reviews they publish. They invite owners to “contact us” to update a review, which reads like pay-to-improve. They also request personal information and proof of orders as if they were an official authority.That means they can post negative claims about a business without any firsthand experience as customers.This reminds me of what Ripoff Report’s founder was accused of years ago, when that site became a platform for unverified and often defamatory posts from people who never used the businesses they attacked.Scam-Detector should not be treated as a trustworthy source. Either the hosting is offshore or there is little accountability, and the whole model invites abuse. If they are confident in their analysis, they should rely on transparent evidence rather than soliciting “updates” from the businesses they label as risky.Trustpilot appears to allow this to continue while the site promotes itself with glowing self-reviews. I would never pay for services from a site like Scam-Detector. It reads like a revenue play, plastered with Google AdSense and built on sensational ratings rather than verified facts.Do not trust Scam-Detector. In my opinion, it is not a legitimate or accurate resource. It looks like an online shakedown that labels businesses it has never actually used.If anyone has given Scam-Detector a 5-star review, it obviously looks bought, and Trustpilot seems to be letting it happen here, of course.
