I like it but I wish the money will deduct when you pay not wait so many days till it’s insufficient funds or something else then came out and for whatever reason the bank hating not letting it go thru when it let any other transaction go thru
Worse company I’ve dealt with. Credit Builder takes forever to cash out, secure card has way to many fees, no support, straight ghetto. Do yourself a favor and just get a real secure card with an actual credit card company.
I strongly advise against using this service. It feels like a complete joke. Despite the positive reviews others may leave, I can't understand how anyone could support a company that took almost $1,000 from me for a self-credit builder account and a credit card deposit. Just two days after I made these payments, they cut off my account and stopped my card. They insisted I verify unnecessary details, and when I refused, they said I wouldn't get my money back until they finished their review. It’s outrageous that they can hold my funds like this. They should have verified my information before taking my money. Now, they expect me to wait 90 days to get it back? This situation is unbelievable.
Self has been amazing to me as soon as I made it first payment my credit score boosted by almost 50 points. I highly recommend self if anyone is trying to boost their credit they will guide you step-by-step every way you need to be guided 100% legit and will show you how to use your credit wisely.
I have had Self for a year now and they have really helped me pull my credit score up. Been great!But, I didn't appreciate it when I moved and changed my address with the bank (thought I was updated with Self too) and my monthly subcription and payments were not going through properly.I paid manually to stay currrent. I finally figured this out for myself and I believe I have fixed the problem, we'll see.I have sent many emails asking for help, that have been ignored. I still have them.No one had a solution. All I got was "we can delete your account and start all over". Great idea! HaHa!!No one even really tried to help, just stopped reporting payments because they couldn't get their money from the same account I have had for years easily.No notice that they had stopped reporting payments either.Problem solving seem to be a thing of the past.Not impressed with the service department.I'll be glad when the second year is over and I'm done with this.Sincerely,Liz Nichols775-560-7321

It functions as a unique installment loan where you make regular, on-time payments, which are reported to all three major credit bureaus. This simultaneously builds your credit history and forces you to save money into a Certificate of Deposit (CD).
SELF charges and squeezes money out of you every chance they get. The credit builder program takes a large portion of your monthly payments for their profits. If you want to pay with your card there’s a $5 fee. Wish I would’ve read the small writing before I signed up for this.
