Review Time
Delivery - ordered and delivered within 2 weeks - which was perfect!!
The delivery itself was as expected, no issues.
Construction - Instructions are vague!!! They could be alot more simpler, esp if you havent done something like this before - you'd spend more time understanding what the instructions meant than the actual build.
But I've done similar things before so this wasn't as bad as it first thought.
It took two of us 5 hours,
But that'd with lots of breaks!!
The biggest time spent was on the door and window frame, it would be good if these came already constructed.
My only negative was that the window frame 2 x items I had to cut to correct length,
Other than that everything was fine.
No real issues, happy with what it is and for the money.
It is now been insulated and rubber flooring down with electrics and is my home gym.

Don't ever use this company. Intimidating/aggressive installers. Tried to blackmail my daughter by saying if we did not pay their parking ticket they would not carry on with the work. Faulty original installation of roof felt - which they admitted when they removed the felt. Customer support unhelpful. Eventually agreed as a "goodwill" gesture to fix the problem which they said was our fault. Said we should have waterproofed the inside of the Summer House - not just the outside.
Shed delivered after three weeks and two aborted dates. Shed arrived damaged. Now awaiting a replacement 8 foot side panel another 2 week wait. Build quality is not brilliant; some splits around nails. Bent nails, needs tidying and fettling. Hopefully Shire will make good the broken parts, but it's been a long time and still not ready to erect the shed. 5 weeks is too long to wait for a successful delivery
Product: Shire Shiplap Pent Shed (12x6)Summary: I bought this kit to save time and hassle; I ended up rebuilding it from the inside out because the factory quality was abysmal.Structural & Material Failures:Poor Timber Quality: The wood is "fast-grown" and low density. I had to apply two coats of creosote immediately just to ensure it wouldn't rot within the first season.Manufacturing Defects: The factory assembly was careless. Nail gun misses were frequent, leaving holes in the floor where the batons were missed entirely. Several panels arrived broken or split.Flimsy Framing: The internal framing was so weak I had to reinforce the entire structure and floor using CLS timber. I also had to replace the original roof batons with CLS to prevent sagging.Inaccurate "Ease of Build": This is marketed as a ready-to-assemble kit, but due to the poor fabrication, it required more effort to fix than it would have taken to build from scratch.Customer Service Issues:The company's "solution" was as poor as the product. They refused a partial refund for the defective materials and were unwilling to schedule the delivery of replacement panels at a time that didn't require me to rearrange my entire life.Final Verdict:For the price paid, the value is simply not there. I am out of pocket for the kit plus the cost of the additional timber and treatment needed to make it usable. Save your money and buy your own timber to build from scratch; you’ll get a better result than what Shire provides.Avoid this company.

Shire Garden Buildings built around our reputation. Shire have been producing garden buildings since 1981. Initially we utilised the skill our workforce possessed when we stopped producing Yachts and started to make Garden Buildings. We have consistently expanded over the years, skills have been passed on and our factories and warehouses now occupy some 20 acres. We have invested in the best equipment and have facilities that include a planing mill, self-contained joinery production, undercover timber store and large warehouses that can hold some 20,000 buildings in stock.See more
