Review Time
Attended the EMC 2 course this weekend and had a blast. Learnt many techniques to help elevate my painting in a great class atmosphere. James is a great teach and would recommend to anyone to attend if you are looking to improve.
I only bought an hour as I was unsure how useful this session was going to be. I think it should have been structured differently as more than half of the meeting was watching someone just show me how to glaze (which I didn't ask for when I took out the class and was money poorly spent as I can watch videos on how to glaze with better video). I appreciate the instructor's comments and expertise but it felt like a classroom video/lecture that just happened to be a one on one video. In retrospect money would have been better spent getting WIP comments and hints then a classroom like lecture on how to paint which I guess is what I paid for? I'll take some of the blame as I should have asked more questions on how these were structured before buying the session. Also I guess I could have spoken up when I saw the direction the session was taking and put it back on track for what I wanted out of it instead of just letting the instructor continue on with what he was doing.
A fantastic job done from start to finish. The whole process was smooth and explained. They were helpful and informative about about what they could and couldn't do and what was expected to be the outcome. The outcome was fantastic. Every detail was done and the quality of their work was 10/10. With the commission complete there wasn't a single thing that I was even slightly displeased about. My third commission from Siege Studios was, like the previous ones, a masterpiece. The collaboration went extremely well; I was always able to get answers to any questions I had about my commission and received equally good suggestions for further improvements. The finished miniature was a masterpiece; I'm sure this won't be my last commission from Siege Studios.
While i love the painting and the scuplting as a whole! it didn't produce the exact art for in the artwork i gave. i put in everything in the quote before the spec sheet because i thought they were going to use both and do and exact copy of the artwork, and for the painting was good i did ask for what color and showed a picture, but the communication wise was amazing even though the time difference did make things difficult1559
A really excellent session. My tutor (Simon) ensured I received a thorough grounding in the basics, along with some myth busting and tips and tricks that worked for him. The exercises to practice and retain skills were particularly useful. I was concerned that discord would not lend itself to an airbrush tutorial, but the whole system worked very well indeed.
