Superb Painters!

My commission number was 1164, and I had a very smooth commission with Siege. Everyone was polite and responsive, and answered all my questions and concerns. My army was painted beautifully at the Warrior Workshop tier, and they really brought my idea of a Blood Angels successor chapter to life after some deliberation. I will definitely be making use of their services in the future!

Siege Studios: simply put - the ‘Go To’ Market Leader….

Easily scoring 10/10, EMC1 is a truly excellent course: accessible and of high value to complete novices and experienced painters alike, it is most strongly recommended for anyone keen to rapidly improve their miniature figure (MiniFig) painting skill set.I have just completed ‘Essential Master Class One’ (EMC1), at the Bad Moon Cafe, London (near Waterloo Rail Station and Borough Tube Station). The venue is; easily accessible via public transport, well suited as a ‘classroom’, stocks a great range of gaming/painting accessories, and additionally offers a tasty range of snacks, beverages & meals - this is a great venue for such an intensive course. The instructor for my course, the awesome - James Otero - is one of the very best in the business. An absolute expert of his craft who understands the operationalised process of MiniFig painting from a nuts & bolts level through to the superlative excellence of the finish product. Students on my course felt a deep sense of reverence to be instructed by someone so prestigious and accomplished. Furthermore, as a teacher, James’ communication style featured an effective laser-like precision to thereby extract the very best from the individual skill sets of each and every student. Notwithstanding my novice-level of starting ability, I felt extremely well supported as the challenging set assignments continually increased in complexity. Furthermore, the assignment feedback helped underscore the efficacy of ‘interactive classroom-based learning’ over that of, for example, You Tube resources.Prospective students are advised to plan ahead to ensure they obtain all the items on the recommended ‘Kit List’ (best to order stuff at least two weeks before course start date). I arrived missing a couple of paints, for which James my Instructor kindly lent me anything I needed, though as you progress it is certainly better to have all your own paints which then means the assignment takeaways can be reproduced more readily.Overall, I most strongly recommend EMC1: the course is outstanding value for money whilst the classroom-based approach combined with the exceptional quality of the instructor sets it far apart from all other learning resources. Having completed EMC1, I am now eagerly awaiting EMC2 (already booked for Bad Moon Cafe in March 2025). Most sincerely, THANK YOU SIEGE STUDIOS for developing such an effective course - your established position as the ‘go to’ Market Leader of choice is thoroughly deserved.

Highly Recommend! A Fantastic Course for All Levels

I recently completed the EMC1 course with James from Siege as the instructor. We learned valuable techniques such as blending, weathering, and painting flesh. This was my first ever painting course, and I initially felt hesitant due to my perceived lack of skill. I'm incredibly glad I took the leap! James fostered a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere where all skill levels felt comfortable to learn and grow. He effectively pushed our boundaries as painters throughout the course. I left feeling inspired and excited to continue my miniature painting journey.Suggestions on how to make it even better:- Visual Clarity: A screen and camera could enhance the learning experience by providing a clearer view of James's painting demonstrations at the table.- Venue Noise: On Saturday, the venue (Bad Moon Cafe) was a bit noisy due to the surrounding tables. Exploring alternative seating arrangements, perhaps towards the end of the room, might mitigate this in future sessions.

Really fantastic workshop

Really fantastic workshop, I've learnt a lot that I need to practise but it's given me the process and direction in what I need to do to paint at a higher standard.
