Dear Simple,This letter is meant to be read by everyone at Simple. Let me begin by saying I've been using simple to save for the past month now, and I inexplicably have nothing positive to say about the app. Let's simply put it as being a pain in the rare to used. Firstly, the app won't allow me to use it on multiple phones at ones without it logging out over and over again and asking for verification code every time it logged out. Secondly, it takes a generation to transfer money from your bank to simple. In my case, it took a week or more to see the money appear in my account. Which is just ridiculous! Traditional Banks are immediate or take up to two days maximum. However, those are not my frustrations ooh No. The utmost worst part about using Simple app is trying to engage a transfer from your bank that has already been linked to simple. I tried transferring money from my bank to my protected Goal account which in itself is as complicated as it gets. I cannot transfer money directly into my protected Goal account, because there isn’t an option that says transfer money to protected Goal. Moreover, I'll receive error messages after error messages trying to transfer money to Simple from my connected bank account. I thought it was the mobile app so I tried on my computer but the same error message persisted. I disconnected my bank in a desperate effort and relinked it again and got the same result. My last result was to write this letter to simple customer service who themselves are also a major problem. They usually take a week to respond to your message and won’t answer your call when you do call. You’ll be greeted by an annoying robot that won’t quit talking. This is far worse than traditional banks. Why Simple If you’re this complicated. And why be complicated if you’re in the business of dealing with people’s money. I have had it with Simple, I couldn’t be any more annoyed!
Simple is a great bank overall. The customer service is the best, they're always friendly. Simple does not have all the features of banks provide, but they do offer workarounds and they sort of replicate the features of Mint, just better.They sometimes get political, which comes across as unprofessional. I strongly disagree with their political opinions, but do not believe that a bank should be speaking on political topics that has nothing to do with banking.
I used to rave about this bank,but customer service has went to crap and they hold your money way too long. It is simple only if you have direct deposit. Otherwise i would not recommend. Plus side is everything is free. Not overdraft,not one penny.
