Had sky streaming for one month now. Live TV is fine but channel change is slow. The worst part is the playlists.
When I’m watching a programme on the playlist the sound cuts out then eventually the picture as well.
I then need to go to settings and do a reset wait for that to finish then go back to my program it’s works well. The only problem is I need to do this about every 20 minutes. Very annoying when watching a one hour program.
Very disappointing system.
As a new subscriber, I'm encountering significant problems with the picture freezing and pixelating right from the start, which is unacceptable. My broadband and connection are fine, and there are numerous reports about this issue online. It appears to be related to how the service is configured, as it struggles to maintain a steady stream depending on the server Sky selects and its load. This situation reminds me of the past when calls would fail to connect on New Year's Eve due to high demand. It feels like a cost-cutting measure, operating below capacity to save money. Online reports indicate this problem has been around for years, suggesting that addressing it isn't a priority compared to attracting new customers.
I need someone to reach out to me as I don't have time to be on hold. Initially, we thought the issue was with our connection, but everything has been updated, so it's clearly a problem with the device. It consistently freezes and buffers starting around 6 PM, so I feel like I'm not receiving the service I'm paying for. I've reset the device at least ten times tonight alone, and it temporarily works again. If this isn't resolved, I will have to cancel as it's not functioning as it should.
I can't watch a single episode without encountering issues like lag, unsynchronized lips, or the playback completely freezing. Often, I have to leave the show and try to re-watch, but even that doesn't solve the problem, as it usually recurs just minutes later. It's become nearly impossible to enjoy anything other than live TV. I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone. Steer clear at all costs! The savings aren't worth it.
I was initially impressed, but the service has multiple bugs. My broadband tends to stop around 1 AM, which is inconvenient for TV viewing. Additionally, paying extra for the skip ads feature has turned into a hassle due to its inconsistent performance. There are many issues, especially with paid features, but I believe it could improve with the right updates.
I was initially impressed, but the service has its share of bugs. My broadband inexplicably stops around 1 AM, which is a problem since I rely on it for TV. Paying extra for the skip ads feature has become annoying, as it doesn't always resume from where I left off and slows down for the ads. There are numerous issues, but I hope it improves with software updates.
Following my previous review, this system continues to let me down. I see no benefits to this service over the previous one, but many negatives persist. It completely relies on the internet, has no recording options, and the navigation is cumbersome. Honestly, it's a poor experience. If anyone can highlight a positive aspect compared to the previous service, I'd love to hear it. It seems like a cost-saving measure for the company, but it's disappointing for customers.
The quality for live sports is lacking. Images are pixelated with strange shadows, and the service tends to drop out around half-time. There are many pauses and freezes, making it frustrating and not much better than unreliable internet feeds.
It started off well, and I enjoyed the features, especially since it was cheaper than the previous option. However, after a few months, the picture began to freeze intermittently in the evenings, suggesting bandwidth throttling. Constantly resetting the device and the router is tiresome, and the sound and picture often go out of sync. I was led to believe that faster broadband was essential for better service, but it has been a letdown.
