i've seen SO many dropshipping channels promoting this under different names lol.
not only is this product pretty shitty, but it struggles with plants like rootbound plants, root vegetables, succulents, and plants that are sensitive to soil. It also has issues with watering, especially if the plant outgrows the tiny ass pot, and struggles with detecting light, often giving low light alerts in sufficient light. Not only that, it has techincal issues such as the touch screen can occasionally being unresponsive, and it requiring a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network to avoid connection issues.
If you have a basic plant with small roots, or are a beginner, sure, go buy it, but in the long run you'll have to buy a new pot anyways.
They're just training wheels that last like a month, and even then, JUST GO TO A PLANT NUSERY AND ASK QUESTIONS, how much light do they need, what is the maximum heat they can withstand, how fast do they grow, how much care do they require, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Why oh why did I buy two of these? Software updates don't work, some features can't be accessed on Chrome or Edge mobile browsers, endless trouble trying to link up to the app, and guess what - it needs to be charged almost every day. Absolute waste of time and money.

The second one lasted just long enough to lull us into false hope before it, too, decided life was overrated and promptly died. Bravo.I reached out to support, sales, and anyone with an email address. The response? A masterclass in silence. Not even a courtesy auto-reply. Impressive.So here’s my heartfelt advice: unless you’re in the market for a glorified pot of dirt with a light-up death wish, steer clear. This isn’t a smart plant—it’s a smart fertiliser. And calling it “smart” is generous. Honestly, I’m baffled how something this poorly made came out of a country that gave us a famous electronics manufacturer. Should be 0 stars. Please save your money as it this was ordered May 3rd and just saying it is going to be delivered. I tried to contact this company and SHOP multiple times. When u go to contact smart plant ivy on the email tab it literally comes up “do-not-reply@smartplantivy”This company is GARBAGE. Buyer beware
Placed an order a month ago for two units. So far order tracking shows that order is received but has not been processed nor is there any tracking number for the package. Customer service does not reply to my enquiries. After reading other experiences here I fear that my money is gone forever.Avoid this company at all cost!
I’m very disappointed with my experience.It’s been almost two months since I first contacted customer service about my order #13311213, which was returned to the sender according to DHL tracking. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received any proper response.I understand that delays can happen, but two months of complete silence is unacceptable.If I don't receive an update soon, I will have to escalate the issue through my bank and request a refund.I truly hoped for better communication and support from your company.
