The recent lawsuit by a well-known brand against another for allegedly copying their fragrances raises serious concerns. I refuse to support any company that seeks to dominate the market and stifle affordable options for consumers. It’s crucial for us to stand against such behavior and not tolerate any attempts to restrict alternatives. This brand's actions may tarnish its reputation, as they seem to prioritize legal battles over customer satisfaction. The article from a major publication highlights the ongoing struggle between established brands and those offering budget-friendly options. As consumers, we naturally gravitate towards the latter, and brands that engage in lawsuits risk alienating their customer base.
I really couldn't decide which of the Sol de Janeiro ranges to buy to I purchased 3 x travel sets so I could test the 3 I thought were the most suitable for my skin type. I want to start by stating that every range has perfume high up on the ingredients list so if you are sensitive to perfumed products avoid at all costs! I have tried 3 of their body creams and I haven't found one that is particularly hydrating. If you use each product individually, the scent is not particularly strong or long lasting. If you layer the products it lasts all day. - Bom Dia, my favourite of the sets I have tried. The smell is divine and the products really are effective and brightening and exfoliating. This is the one I am most likely to repurchase and this is the scent I have gotten the most compliments for. It also seems effective for my KP. - Beija Flor, a close second. The body wash is like a cream and this seems to hydrate my skin the most and leaves it the softest out of all the ones I have tried. I do like the scent but it doesn't quite have the same affect as Bom Dia. - Delicia Drench, my least favourite. Delicia Drench is supposed to be the most moisturising and suitable for sensitive skin. Perfume is 2nd/3rd on the ingredients list and it only contains a small amount of soothing & moisturising ingredients. The shower oil has the faintest scent of them all and doesn't feel hydrating in comparison to the other 2. The body cream is so thick it is almost like a paste and hard to rub in. It is slightly moisturising but if it's moisture you're after then there are far better and cheaper options available. I do have a full sized bottle of the Beija Flor so depending on how long that lasts I will probably be repurchase Beija Flor or Bom Dia in full sizes (the whole range) but possibly as a treat as it is pricey to repurchase regularly.
I honestly can't believe this company exists. I feel like it was made for me because I love every scent so much! My favorites are 71, 62, 38, 59, and 40. 71 is like a caramelized macadamia scent that is to die for. You can even smell a hint of roasting. I don't know how they do it. Anyway, I've never had a problem with an order in the last 5 years or so. I've never had to contact customer service for anything (knock on wood!). Everything comes as described, and all of it exceeds my expectations. I haven't had a bad experience yet, and I can't foresee it happening in the future. You can trust this company to take care of all your body care needs.
This should be illegal. It is pute acid and caused HOLES in my clothes. Expensive silk ruined and they refused to even pay for the dry cleaning (!) and damage repair for other clothes that stained . Horrible customer service . I dont know why they are allowed to sell this acid to consumers and ontop of this 10Emails of how they cant help. I will never ever buy this and i urge everyone to stay clear.
From signature scent to serious disappointment!!I used to absolutely adore Sol de Janeiro 71. It was my go-to fragrance—I could spray it on in the morning and throughout the day I would always get compliments. But over the last three months, something has clearly changed. The scent now carries a sharp urine-like smell, and instead of being long-lasting and irresistible, it fades quickly. It genuinely feels like the formula has been altered with cheaper ingredients. At first, Sol de Janeiro gave us an amazing product at an affordable price. But now it feels like they’ve cut corners for profit. Even my stepdaughter, without knowing which fragrance was being tested, said “it smells like urine” when sprayed in store. For me, the brand has lost the magic it once had. Sol de Janeiro 71 has gone from a signature scent to something I can’t wear anymore—and I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.
I have a 14 year old autistic son who go's to a school for autistic kids. When he was 11 we want him learn about money and work and set him up a small wax melt busniess, sometimes soap over last year or two and has a few regular customers and a few hundred follows on social media. Yesterday this company decided to have some of his posts removed because one is called one Bumalious and as a description smells like this, and the company are saying its a trademark issue and force to remove it. How petty can a company like this be really and just shows how big companies work. Absolute joke, won't be buy l' occtaine again for my wife as this is the owner.
So I purchased 240ml of this Bella flor Elasti-cream after a few months despite being kept cool in the box away form light it now smells like bubble gum for what it is over priced and deffo will not purchase again.I would have been better tompurchase a basic moisturiser
