SORBET HYDE PARK I had an amazing pedicure with Kira at Sorbet Hyde Park!! 💕💕 When I tried to rate her with a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the review went through with an incorrect star rating and I could NOT change it. There should be a way to edit! 🤷🏻♀️It was one of the best pedicures I have had Sorbet Hyde Park!
Sorbet Somerset Mall. The best Sorbet visited so far. Memory did a beautiful job, was so patient and friendly. Chatted to me on interesting subjects, we laughed which was great...the time flew. Could have stayed another hour. Would and I plan to go back. I have bought various skin products and love them, all very good for a 77 year old ladies skin...thank you Memory and all the friendly ladies.

I recently commented on the excellent service from Sorbet Station Hermanus branch but have to unfortunately comment on the lack of sympathy for customers with repairs to one or more nails. As a REGULAR customer who support Sorbet 365days of the year. I find it unacceptable that it is virtually Impossible to find an appointment for a repair @ Station square branch. This week I had two repairs 1 nail & 1 toe.Sorbet Whale coast mall made a plan and booked me yesterday at 11.00 unfortunately the gelish color they used at Station square was not available at that branch & they phoned Station just to get an appointment to PAINT gelish on both my nails. First I was told I could go at 2.00 to which I agreed when I got there at 1.50 I was told that all the techs were busy & they could only help me on Friday 10.00. I had no choice but to agree. Today I received a call frm the receptionist at Station wanting to know EXACTLY what has to be done to my nails as they're very busy. I explained it simply had to be painted the repairs itself had been done all I need is the gelish painting ! Honestly this is Totally unacceptable that loyal customers have to beg to have a repair done- we keep these businesses going and this is the way we get treated when we need help?! I am very disappointed, in Gauteng especially South Downs they made an effort to accommodate repairs!
I visited Sorbet four times. My first gelish set was great and lasted three weeks, but the service declined after that. They rush through clients to fit in more appointments, barely soak off the product (which I pay for each time), and continue filing on top of my nails even after I ask them not to—assuring me they’re only filing the product. I even told the nail technician that it hurt, but she continued, again insisting she was only filing the product. My nails are now very thin and fragile, and the last set didn’t even last a week—they even break easily. I had to cut all my nails very short down to the flesh. I will definitely not recommend Sorbet Mall@Reds to anyone. I had the same experience with my toenails. They will never see me again!
On October 1st, I had high hopes for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience at sorbet salon in cavendish. My daughter and I had booked appointments for nail, brow, and lip treatments, and I had specifically requested that the beautician follow a picture I provided to ensure I got the look I wanted. I had also made it clear that I had grown out my brows for four months without touching them, so they could be shaped and done professionally. I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. That is, until she asked me to check if I was happy with the progress. What I saw in the mirror was nothing short of disastrous. She had hacked away more than half of my brow, leaving it uneven and shapeless. The lines were jagged, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.I was absolutely distraught. The beautician seemed to have no idea what she was doing, and the damage was already done. To make matters worse, she simply left the room without a word of apology or explanation. It was like she had abandoned ship, leaving me to deal with the aftermath. The supervisor was called in, and she was visibly shocked by the state of my brow. She explained that there wasn't much that could be done to fix it, which only added to my frustration. They then brought in a senior therapist to try and salvage what was left of my brows. She worked tirelessly to make my other brow match the damaged one as closely as possible, but it was clear that it was going to be a challenge. The beautician had apparently been trained, but it seemed like she had no concept of shape, proportion, or even basic aesthetics. I was mortified, and the experience was nothing short of traumatic. When it came time to discuss compensation, I was appalled by the salon's response. They offered to waive the fee for the treatment, which seemed like a token gesture at best. I insisted that this wasn't enough and that they should be paying me for the emotional distress and inconvenience they had caused. After some negotiation, they offered me a voucher for a set of acrylic nails, but it could only be used at the same Cavendish branch that had messed up my face.Let me be clear: I do not want a voucher for more treatments at the same salon that ruined my confidence and made me look like an angry clown. I want real compensation for the harm that has been done. I want to make it clear that the Cavendish branch is a disaster, and their customer service is shocking. The lack of accountability, empathy, and understanding shown by the staff is appalling. As I walk around with this botched brow, I feel like I'm wearing a neon sign that screams "I'm a victim of incompetence. I've had to adjust my daily routine, covering up the affected area with makeup which I don't wear! The experience has left me shaken, and I would not recommend the Cavendish branch to anyone.
I go to Sorbert every month, sometimes twice a month at Ballito junction. This past weekend I took hubby and my self for a treat and we did our nails. 💅 The nails were very beautiful but a bit too long. I indicated to the ladies sitting in front that I would be back to shorten them…I went back 3days later and as the nail technician was busy cutting my nails Estelle Ellis rudely walks up to me and tells me that I would have to pay R350 to just shorten my nails this after I paid R650 3days ago. She does infront of everyone that was sitting there and walks away. I just asked the lady to simply make them short and not put any coat on it. I felt unseen and unheard as a loyal customers to Sobert for years. As I walked out she did not even say bye instead she looked at her phone and continued with her life. Very Disappointing to say the least.
On 12th June , I visited Sorbet Ballito a day before my surgery to have my polygel fill done by Zama. While she did her best, there was an error on one of my nails which she attempted to correct—causing the appointment to run over. Unfortunately, the issue remained visible. The front desk staff handled the situation poorly, speaking to me rudely and unprofessionally. I was even told by the receptionist, after a call with the owner Estelle, that I am no longer welcome at the store—all because I asked for a repair and couldn’t wait due to an urgent hospital admission.I have always believed in paying for service I’m satisfied with. I expected better professionalism and care, especially from a brand like Sorbet. This experience left me disappointed and disrespected.
I had booked a 'Soak Off Gel Quick Manicure No Paint' at Sorbet Karaglen. I had biogel that needed to be soaked off. The gel was filed off with an e-file and then manually removed with a nail file (not new and not sanitized). My nails were filed right down to my natural nail and my nails are incredibly thin, painful and sensitive. I am wearing plasters over my nails just to help with sensitivity. Absolutely no cuticle work was done. I do not recommend Sorbet Karaglen at all. They have caused severe injury to my nails.
A friend of mine recently had her eyebrows laminated. They used too much of the chemicals and she was burnt and lost her eyebrows 😱If that’s not bad enough they are not taking any accountability for it. I no longer support Sorbet as I want to spend my money with brands that are built on values!
