Site was straight forward and easy to navigate. I was able to understand and answer the questions asked with ease and receive an instant quotation. After checking the policy was what I required, the payment was easy to accept and complete. Excellent service.
Waste of time taking out a policy with them, I lost an earring down the side of a sofa. They said it’s not lost even though I can’t retrieve it and I know where it is. It took nearly 3 months for them to reach a decision, despite me chasing multiple times. It’s a technicality and very convenient that they don’t have to pay out. Don’t waste your money.
Spoke to a few people as I kept changing my mind! Soz .. last person I spoke with, sorry I can’t remember his name, actually gave me a better off than the two previous calls ! How wonderful.. better cover at the same price! What a gem xx he was brilliant 🤩
I took out an annual travel insurance policy with Southdowns and contacted them proactively to be fully transparent about a couple of minor, ongoing medical investigations. These are precautionary, and I have no diagnosis and no serious concerns.Instead of being supported, I was subjected to over 90 minutes of intrusive questioning across two phone calls. Despite no diagnosis, cover was refused on those conditions — which I accepted. But what shocked me was being told my entire annual policy might now be compromised and a payout on any claim couldn’t be guaranteed.I am a well woman and a responsible, honest customer who was simply trying to do the right thing. I feel that honesty was used against me. I’ve lost confidence in Southdowns and will be finding cover elsewhere.I can’t recommend this insurer to anyone who expects fairness and respectful treatment.
